Story

The King’s Croft Hotel is a beautiful Grade 2 listed building set in 8 acres of landscaped grounds. With extensive lawns at the front of the Hotel, surrounded by mature trees and relaxing views of the rolling countryside, the King’s Croft can provide the perfect venue for any function.

The King’s Croft has the convenience of being less than a mile from the M62 / A1 and the town centre of Pontefract and is the ideal location for luxury accommodation in the Leeds, Wakefield, Barnsley, Doncaster and all the towns and villages surrounding Pontefract.

There are 5 rooms licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and the hotel can accommodate wedding parties of any size from 10 to 450. We have newly refurbished bridal suites and the Hotel also has a renowned restaurant offering a mix of classic & modern English cuisine.

We can provide a full package of entertainment including live bands, discos or comedy. The hotel has developed a reputation for providing top quality entertainment for Dinner Dances, Ladies Luncheons, Christmas Functions, Hog Roasts and Sportsmen’s Dinners. A full range of state of the art audio visual equipment is also available.

The King’s Croft Hotel is personally managed by the owners Rosie and Shaun Ingram who are available, along with the Head Chef, to discuss your requirements and tailor event packages to suit your needs.

Stayed at the Kings croft for two nights for my sisters wedding. We had a small double, which was petite but as it was only for sleeping in, not an issue, beautiful wet room bathroom. The event meal was fantastic, huge portions, staff very attentive and helpful, nothing to much bother. Breakfast was lovely, my daughter doesn't eat cooked breakfasts but there was still plenty to keep her happy, cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit. Lovely stay, wedding well managed would recommend

We've been a couple of times, unfortunately for funerals, but the service has always been lovely. This time was a lot more pleasant and was a meet up with long lost family, we had afternoon tea and every wish was accommodated. And was all fabulous.

Attended the fireworks event for bonfire night. Excellent atmosphere. Excellent value for money. Tribute act was picked well for both adults and kids. The fireworks went on for ages (unlike some 5min whoosh bang displays). The food was lovely, drinks prices were about average for an event (not massively ott) Will be booking again next year!

Nice mid priced hotel. Lovely 3 course meal in restaurant at a very good price. Waiting staff lacked a bit of finesse but were efficient. Our mattress was very soft but overall, for the price, very nice. Sadly we were there to attend a funeral at the crematorium and hotel was within walking distance.

I am gluten free and attended a funeral breakfast there. My food was set out separately and brought out of the back once I got there. It was a lovely spread. Would highly recommend.
