Waterstones is my favourite shop in Chelmsford! However, since Chelmsford High Street is mostly clothing shops nowadays it does not have much competition! The staff in Waterstones are always very friendly and helpful, always happy to give recommendations and advice on book choices. There is a good selection and its nice just to browse in there for a while. There is also a cafe which I have rarely visited but seems OK. They also have a selection of board games but these are pretty expensive. Books are a good price in there generally, however, especially if you can get a '2 for 1' deal or similar.

Great book shop, the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is always a huge selection of authors and if it's not on the shelf, then you can choose to order and have it in a few days. There is a lovely selection for children and a nice selection of gifts as well.

Real pBooks made of paper; I can spend ages browsing there. If you have questions they also have real pErsons; people knowledgeable about pBooks and readers themselves to give you answers. Worth a visit.

Would Like a better selection of manga, i go in every week and it doesn't change alot. However when something I like is there the prices are good and the staff are friendly :)
