I can’t believe I’m now avoiding buying from this place. I genuinely love beauty products like Charlotte Tilbury and perfumes, and for Valentine’s Day I wanted to purchase a perfume here — but the customer service has been disappointing.nnOn multiple occasions, my friend and I spent a long time trying to choose a beauty product, and no one offered to help. Staff either just stared or seemed too busy. With inflation and customers still choosing to spend money on quality products, basic customer service should at least make you feel valued and comfortable making a purchase.

Went to John Lewis yesterday to buy a YSL perfume,approached the staff about a particular perfume , she just walked away without saying a word. I felt that her reaction was influenced by my skin colour.nHowever the staff at the other end was really helpful ended up buying two Gucci perfumes instead. Hope John  Lewis takes steps to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and professionalism.

I visited John Lewis in Chelmsford today. I was late for my nursery appointment due to traffic issues at the Dartford tunnel and the staff were very kind and helpful even though I was late. After the appointment, my daughter was sick in the stoor. Again, I was treated with such kindness from staff and customers. It was obviously embarrassing for us but I was helped with cleaning my daughter and reassured by staff that help was on the way. Sorry staff at John Lewis for the mess but thank you for your kindness. It certainly was appreciated.

Great store. With so many department stores closing down it’s great to have John Lewis still going strong. The high street in store experience is so important. I’ve always found the staff to be incredibly helpful
