Waitrose

This store is somewhat of a contradiction at times. While it’s noted as being the most expensive of all the supermarkets, it can however surprise you from time to time with offers that are way better than their competitors. For example, a six pack of Walkers Crisps normally retail between £1.65-£1.70. Waitrose at the time of writing this are selling it for £1.50. When they sell products at a reduced price, possibly because those products are not selling particularly well, then it really is at a knocked down price,(KP Nuts). The product range is excellent irrespective of the price, moreover, Waitrose own ‘essential’ brands are cheap and of good quality. They also sell brands of items that you simply won’t find anywhere else. The staff at this store have so far been okay with me. The store itself isn’t particularly busy on a weekday afternoon, so it’s pleasant to shop at ease and not be trampled underfoot by marauding hordes of bargain hunters! It’s not a bad shop in all fairness if you want items that aren’t available elsewhere, but for a big heavy shop i wouldn’t come here regularly as it will put a big dent in your wallet. Next door is an Aldi which is very busy. Obvious why when you think about it. Still not a bad experience overall. Would come back again.

Good staff and quality food. You are never going to get 100% good service from staff, they are only human and some will have a bad day. However the staff at this store are as good as you going to get. Plus, I have always found Waitrose food and goods to be excellent.

Normally I enjoy shopping in the store, and like the range of goods. However, I am really disappointed in the staff over what happened today. I accidentally left a basket of carefully chosen good on the floor - some of them on special offer. I was with a partner with a trolley. When we got home we realised that we were missing a lot of goods. I phoned, but already, after only half-an-hour I found that the goods had all been put back because some times a shoplifter's ploy is a leave a basket of goods on the floor. (No idea how that works.) We were planning to go back and collect the goods (and pay for them obviously!) No no waiting. No apologies, no suggestions, no nothing. It felt very cold and unhelpful. Very d

It's my favourite Super market as you can get a lovely cup of coffee for free.

Great products as one would expect from Waitrose. However the lazy and inconsiderate staff who spend their time talking to each other rather than serving customers let the branch down.
