Today I witnessed a mother trying to do her shopping with her child, who has a disability. She politely asked staff for assistance in using a different till and appeared to be almost pleading for help.nnThe staff member she approached was dismissive and disrespectful, and refused to call a manager when requested. What was even more disappointing was that when the manager eventually arrived, they seemed more focused on defending the staff member’s behaviour than addressing the concerns raised.nnThis experience gave the impression that Aldi either does not provide adequate training to its staff on making reasonable adjustments for customers with disabilities, or that such training is not being applied in practice.nnIt was upsetting to witness, and I hope Aldi takes steps to improve staff awareness, customer service, and support for people with disabilities. Customers should be able to shop with dignity and receive appropriate assistance when needed.
Excellent produce and great flowers to treat the wife and introduction of self service makes it great for a small.shop to get in and out quickly
My usual store is Hall Green, but as that doesn’t open until 11:00, I went to Shirley. Free parking on a Sunday, but Monday to Saturday, 3 hours free at the rear of the store; which is good. Thank you to Sinead, very friendly and helpful. 4 stars rather than 5, as the self service checkout was flashing red, and went unnoticed for a while, as the staff member in charge was on their phone.
Very convenient location and nice car park.
I would like to thank the security officer. in Shirley Branch The help he gave me to find my purse was amazing Many many thanks. Margaret.
