Excellent cinema and really lovely staff. 5-star in that respect. The lack of fifth star is the prices on the concessions. 12 for two drinks and a bag of sweets!? I paid over £50 for a drink and snack for 6 people at Christmas. Vue might as well make the staff uniforms come with a mask. I know it’s nationwide. Maybe this will get back to them. Doesn’t take away from the entire local experience here, it just puts me off purchasing anything here.
Absolute shambles of a place, I’ve been several times over the last few months after loving this cinema for years however the place has gone down the drain. Every single time I’ve been recently the milkshake machine has been either plain off or the workers just refuse to make one for you. Went for the LAST time today as a pick me up after having minor oral surgery, thought a movie and a milkshake considering I’m struggling to eat/drink without pain would be lovely but shocker the machine was yet again off and I was left to water : Watched a great movie but shall never return to this poor establishment which is saddening after being loyal for so many years. The amount of negative reviews over the past year really shows, do better vue. Thanks for another crap experience.
Person at desk let us in without asking for ID so we went to our screen and sat down, then decided we wanted sweets so went back out and was then asked for ID which I couldn’t prove as I’m 15 and haven’t got any student ID like she asked for as I’m homeschooled , didn’t have a passport as I don’t travel and do NOT see the point in getting one just to watch a film and I’m not old enough to have a provisional driving license. The staff who I spoke to came across quite rude and food / drink is very overpriced. Would recommend if you go, to bring your own food and drink and make sure you have ID‍nnI was also with my 19 yr old brother and had my mothers verbal consent over the phone AND had my birth certificate sent to me but still wasn’t good enough.nnI don’t think this is a place that I would go back to in a hurry!!
It was someone’s birthday so they invited 8 people to the cinema we all bought snacks and drinks at the cinema for the first 20 minutes it was fine not one of us had said a word but 1 of us was texting there mum about where to meet up then a worker came in and kicked us out for talking and being on our phones. The worker didn’t give us a warning and told us we have to leave . We spent around 200 pound on the tickets and snacks for us to be kicked out. We hadn’t done anything wrong and were very polite and still didn’t get a refund the girls birthday was ruined. Safe to say we are NOT coming back
Chris was super helpful when purchasing tickets, my partner is disabled and advised re seating. He also assisted on appropriate id that could be used for my son and his gf.nThe cinema itself is very tired within the theatres, the seats are well passed their best and extremely uncomfortable.
