I don't live in or near Brynamman, but like many, I have driven past this aging art deco cinema on many occasions on my way to mid Wales. This time, I decided I would stop and visit to watch a movie. Once you step inside, you are instantly transported back to another era. The preservation of this incredible venue cannot be overstated. For the modest sum of just £10, I was able to buy two tickets to watch a new movie. The consecssions shop was very reasonably priced and even the parking was free. The place isn't perfect and nor would I expect it to be, but it does have a few distractions. Most notably for me personally is the limited leg space between the seats and the musky aroma. There's a rare and precious jewel hidden deep in the Welsh village of Brynamman. A time capsule, with a glorious history and a warm welcome. As Arnie might say... "I'll be back".

I love this place. Old fashioned but modern tge same time. Old style ice cream trays selling your favourite ice cream during the break and seats are very comfortable. They play all the latest films and it's half the price of other cinema venues which are a rip off with a tiny screen.....Brynamman cinema has the largest screen in Wales!!

A relic of the golden age of cinema; a wonderful place. Sadly, there are so few cinematic experiences quite like this anymore. The 'personal touch' is so evident from this community's volunteers. Irrespective of the film showing, the experience is always enjoyable because the place oozes nostalgia; the ticket booth, screen cutaons, balcony seats, intermission for ice cream! Notwithstanding, all the new blockbusters are shown and now there's even a second screen! Dump the multiplexes and pay less - but enjoy more - at community cinemas like this.

This cinema is fantastic! A little gem nestled in the village of Brynamman, which is the upper end of the Amman Valley. The cinema is a throw back to how all cinemas used to look. Please pay a visit. The place is run by volunteers and it is to their credit that the doors are open every night. If you want to watch all of the latest films, at a fraction of the cost of the bigger cinemas, then this is the place to visit!

A perfect local cinema that has a real sense of history and charm without being outdated. It still has an ice cream intermission after the adverts before the film starts!! 😆 It always has up to date blockbuster movies usually on day of release. Really good price admission (most expensive £6pp, what you would like when you go to the cinema) as well a snack shop that is also reasonable priced. It only has 2 screens so will only usually have 2 different movies each night but they are movies people want to see! Always my first choice when I want to the cinema 👍
