Had my vehicle serviced today at Lookers and Jacob looked after me. He was a very polite and helpful young man with lots of service knowledge, I would highly recommend using Lookers at Peasmarsh
I have never known or received such poor service or experience and the catalogue of continuous errors and miscommunication than I have with lookers as a company. Vw van centre Guildford. From my initial contact by email enquiring about the van on 10th April that was disappointingly not replied to. I then placed a £250 deposit to secure the van for 3days that was also not followed up to which I had to call repeatedly to chase. Asking for a walk around video that again disappointingly did not receive. Adding to my initial upsetting first contact with Lookers, after traveling 5hours, on arrival to view the van I discovered the van was advertised as a LWB with 1,700 miles to find out it’s a SWB and with over 7,000 miles. After a long chat, I was told they could offer £100 off on the day and the option for a further £400 on the day the next payments due. And that could be taken off or refunded. I requested that due to the above issues could the price be reduced accordingly and as a possible good will gesture the first service be included due to the mileage. This was rejected and I was told that not even £1 could be taken off the listing price! Despite all this I felt I had to just accept whatever it was to purchase the van as my current van sold to the first viewing and this left me in a position where I needed to purchase another van quickly. I instructed my bank to make contact to sort the paperwork and payment. This was done within minutes. I was then asked how I wanted the van registered to which I replied for it to be in the business name. To receive the final blow an hour later that the van can’t actually be sold for another month! Even though I asked this question from the very start prior to me even placing the deposit. And I was told via email that the van is available for sale now. Once again no contact regarding confirmation of the availability of the Transporter from Friday 19th April, yet promised a confirmation call Monday 22nd April. For my very valid reasons stated I request my £250 deposit to be refunded immediately. This was returned in a few days with an automatic email confirming the refund but no apology or explanation from a human what's so ever. I will be taking this further as I believe the service I have received to be absolutely shocking and unacceptable. Nathan Dvs

Amazing service! From start to finish. Accommodated all my requirements and went above and beyond. Gave them my new caravelle and a Skoda to service. Max is a true professional and his team at reception are all amazing. I went out of London for this very reason good old fashioned service and these guys did not disappoint worth the trip! Thank you guys see you in a year or two
I picked up my vw caddy today from Justin, he was absolutely amazing from start to finish and communication was perfect. The Caddy is perfect for my disabled boy and I didn’t have to wait as long as other dealers. I totally recommend dealing with Justin 10/10
Seen a vw transporter for sale at looker vw van centre guildford. I enquired if vehicle was vat free, which i was told it was. So, I placed a £500 deposit to secure the vehicle. Then i drove 400 mile round trip to view the van and when i got there i noticed price was £27799 +vat so i enquired again is it vat free to which i was told defo no vat on van so i purchased the van and told them id pick it up the following weekend. I then paid in full the remainder of the balance by bank transfer. On the following saturday i drove from norfolk to guildford another 400 mile round trip to be told when doing paper work there is vat on the van and it was their mistake. And after 2 full days travelling and £150 in fuel they offered me £20 compensation which left me fuming. Got to be worst dealership i have had to deal with. How can u not know if theres vat on the van until last minute. Poor service and customer support. Really disappointed and let down.
Firstly I have to say that recent communications with this branch things seem to have improved. But when I originally purchased my van I did have a terrible time dealing with their service manager Anthea Ebison. I was lied to many times and really messed about with a few reasonably simple warranty claims. Either way, organising simple things like electronic diagnostics is extremely expensive and un personal. I avoid and use a private vw specialist to save time money and hassle.
I was told on the phone I would have to wait 3 hours for a recall and I can wait there. After arriving I was told it would be 5 hours, after waiting 4.5 hours I was asked to wait another 45 minutes, at 5.5 hours I ask if it's finished and they told me it will be at least another 1.5 hours. 7 hours after they originally told me 3. They do not value your time. They keep apologizing and saying they are understaffed. After I got the van back after 7 hours and 15 minutes the mechanic told me he started working on the van at 14:30 I had been waiting 5.5 hours by that point, and only basic checks had been done before he started work. I was meant to leave by 12:00, ended up leaving at 16:15. Do not go here. Go somewhere where the staff do not lie to you at every step.
This is a review specifically for Max Omo at Lookers VW Van Centre in Peasmarsh who very recently looked after us during some tricky diagnosing of our electric sliding doors on our Transporter Van. Max took charge of our works which have now been completed. He took time to explain the issues and to try and minimise the costs of repair as much as was possible which is greatly appreciated! Thankyou Max, we would certainly recommend your service and will absolutely use your van centre again, hoping to have you overseeing things if at all possible.
Parts advisor shocking!!! Phone etiquette poor!!! Zero customer interest. My call and order for trims was clearly a hindrance. I will take our business to where it will be valued.
