Wonderful service from this dealer. The actual work done was first rate. Plus the help, politeness and attention to my requests and questions dealt with brilliantly by customer service. Thank you.
Overall, I am happy with everything. My only concern is that the car was not ready until late in the afternoon when I had a tricky and longish journey to make to collect the car at a busy time of day. The car has to come back in on 21 December for a follow-up service which I hope can be completed sooner.
As requested, here is a full breakdown of our experience: - A day before the test drive, the listing disappeared from the site/autotrader so we assumed this had been sold. We emailed to confirm but we were assured it was still available. - We travelled to see the car a great distance, only to be confirmed on arrival that it had in fact been sold. There was no apology. - Instead, we were urged to stay to look at cars which were yet to be listed. - None of these cars met our requirements or came close to them - either the completely wrong engine spec or miles out of price range. - We wrote to the manager at Lookers about our experience and we're yet to receive any kind of reply or apology. - It is our belief that we were misled about the status of the vehicle we were interested in, in the hope they could sell us an alternative vehicle, with no regard for the time and effort required on our side.
I don’t usually post reviews, however going to a couple dealerships and leaving feeling underwhelmed i decided to contact this particular branch as me and my husband have had our eyes on a car and a friend had previously bought theirs from here. Iftikhar and Bentley were exceptional on the phone and they really helped me in making the right decision for our current needs and I hope to come in the new year once we’re back!
Gave me every piece of info I needed on the specific car. Was very helpful and kind. Iftikhar is one of the best and is always on hand to help. Have dealt with him a number of times and has never disappointed.
The servicing arm of this dealership is worrying. My 3 year old car purchased from new through Guildford’s Lookers Skoda has twice had to go back to their garage within 3 weeks of being of serviced there due to multiple warning lights coming on in my view this is unlikely to be a coincidence for an otherwise entirely reliable new car. Then, upon returning home from collecting the car after the second of these occurrences earlier this month, I noticed an urgent ‘red’ requirement for a brake fluid change noted in the documentation. This was neither mentioned as an advisory/‘amber’ when it was in for its service with them less than a month earlier, nor raised with me at any point over the 4 days when my car was with them for the fault investigation and would’ve involved yet another return visit had I not made alternative arrangements. I asked repeatedly to speak to a manager about my concerns but of course my calls were never returned. I wouldn’t recommend this servicing department at all and I will most certainly be using other garages in future wherever possible.

This was my first experience purchasing a Skoda and I can honestly say the service was top class and just as caring as you would expect from a top end German car brand. In particular Bentley and Leanne were wonderful in helping to guide me through the process and doing everything they could to keep me informed every step of the way. Even when there was an unexpected delay to the car arriving, the team called me every day with an update and even threw in some extra goodies to make up for it. I adore my new Kodiaq and look forward to seeing the team again for a good old chin wag and catch up on all things cars. Would thoroughly recommend the team at Skoda Guildford!
I have been dealing with the sales team at Lookers Skoda Guildford for years. My most recent purchase from the dealership is a Skoda Enyak! Members of the sales team have always been remarkably consistent at being so supportive, nice, professional and reassuring throughout the whole sales/purchasing process . . . . . from the initial enquiry stage to delivery. My special gratitude goes to the Iftikhar. Nice and warm individual, who is exceptional good at what he does. Please keep up the good work lad! We've got absolutely no reason to look elsewhere for our next car!
