Kev is a great guy, he sells quality cars at very competitive prices. The Range Rover in the ridiculous review about him painting cars was mine, it had a few minor scuffs on the bumpers and Kev kindly offered to repair them for me free of charge. I was exremely happy with his repairs, it was as good as new! Great car. Highly recommended if you want a down to earth honest car dealer.
Bought my first car from Kevin and Steve? 4 years ago. I bought a beautiful misano blue Alfa Romeo Spider 2.2JTS, for £8k, 47k miles. Was a bargain. Had an issue with the driver's side window button which he replaced without cost or issue very soon after i notified him. Car drove beautifully and had virtually no issues until about 2.5 years in when it became quite expensive - nothing to do with the dealership, general wear and tear plus this car is renowned for requiring driving chain replacements early.. Spent £4k on car repairs and replacement parts eventually! Morale of the story, if you buy an older alfa, it will be expensive to run : The service during the sale was excellent, and did go back to see Kevin a couple of times when I was thinking of exchanging. P/X my alfa earlier this year to another dealership for a fairly new Mini Convertible JCW as I wanted more speed. Thanks Kevin!
After buying a black BMW 645CI in a great condition and purchased at a fair price I found some issues with the car a month into owning it that the warranty would not cover. I called Vixen Prestige and explained the issue and I was given a courtesy car whilst they fixed my car. It took a couple of weeks but I now have the car back and it runs perfectly.
I purchased a Volvo v50 from this seller recently and within two weeks the car had major problems, within the first week there was an intermittent starting problem where there was an air leak getting into the fuel line which cost me £100 to get sorted, then the key fob failed to open the car within the same week,another £50. Then the battery died on the car which again was another £150 from the RAC as they said the battery was not fit to start a scooter never mind a Volvo. I then had the cambelt changed, no problem with that as I know second hand cars need them done, but then my mechanic said the alternator was so hot when he took it off he was surprised it had not caught fire, another £140. Then last week I was driving and the brakes failed on the car totally, pedal went to the floor and no brakes, very scary experience, It is now in my local garage awaiting another part to be fitted. I would be very wary of buying from this seller as he claimed the car had service history up to a certain date but when i travelled down from Birmingham I got there to be told he had misread the service booklet. He had also started the car when I arrived which always rings alarm bells for me. This is the worst purchase I've ever had of second hand cars and all though he knocked £100 off the selling price I am already nearly £500 down and the car is still not on the road. If the seller would like to respond to this review I would welcome to hear what he has to say. Update: So this car is still giving me trouble with more money being spent and time wasted, I gave the owner Kevin the chance to reply to this review but as you can see he has not replied. I BEG YOU TO READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU PURCHASE HE IS CERTAINLY A DISHONEST DEALER AND SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED, I WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE TRAVELLING NEARLY 90 MILES AND PURCHASE THE WORST SECOND HAND CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED.
ATTENTION. Vixen Prestige hid car faults when selling a car to us. CARS REPAINTED IN THE GARDEN. Stay alert. I purchased from VIXEN Prestige Lexus LS 430. EBAY seller silvercheck4. Car not as described absolutely. Described only engine because engine is smoking. The seller said that everything is working perfectly. Except engine. But my mechanic says otherwise. 1. Cooling radiator is leaking heavily. 2. Thermostat does not open. 3. Not working right side headlight washer. 4. Not working power steering tilt. 5. Not working front driver seat memory. 6. Not working trunk opening switch. 7. Not working mirror memory. 8. Front right side wheel bearing howling. 9. All tires old and chapped needs to be replaced. 10. Parking sensor system not working properly. 11. Does not work rear window heating. 12. Gloves department glued with chewing gum damaged lock. 13. Front and rear bumper repainted very bad. 14. Front right wing repaint awfully. When to buy the Lexus. seller painted black Range Rover in the yard. BEWARE OF VIXEN PRESTIGE.
Took a long train journey to see a car advertised as "full dealership history" but got there to find that was "an error" so had to get a train home. Expensive day and waste of my spare time. A few weeks later and the car was still advertisied the same way so I wonder how many others have been misled. One star is all I can give.
Kev is an absolute joy to buy from Talks straight and goes way way over and beyond what you would expect especially when you take into consideration that part of Vixen’s USP is that it’s about great cars for less than you would normally buy them There were a couple of issues not unheard of with a vehicle of the age that I bought but where many would simply say ... sold as seen, Kev took the time to take it back and sort at his cost What a lovely guy Highly recommended I would give seven stars but there are only 5 !
Bought an Audi S5 from this guy. Very honest trader and a great car. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Time Waster. "Full service history" turned out to be a complete lie. Skipped 4 of 7 service intervals - not even close to full. Wasted day. Don't bother, look elsewhere
Worst car dealer I've ever been too. Do not buy from here
