Hopped in and quickly looked around. An okay selection of albums but not overly large. Was looking for heavy metal and didn’t see much. The place was clean, staff nice and would recommend jumping in if you’re looking for some music. Always enjoy record stores. Also what I like where a lot of used vinyl as new stuff you can just buy online so good on them.
Good little shop, always worth a visit to trawl through the records. Sells a decent range of other merchandise type stuff too
Probably the coolest record store I've ever been to, and I have a thing for record stores so that says a lot
Very rude when I asked about a particular Liam Gallagher vinyl, I guess he's not doing well because the records he does have are very old like the building, it smells too
Gear independent record store. Vinyl Revival is always one of the first stores I visit whenever I come into Manchester at the weekend. I regularly buy records from Vinyl Revival & everything is always really well organised into indie/alt rock, classic rock, male & female vocalists, metal, soul, R&B. They even have a dedicated section for Manchester based band. The owner of the store is always very helpful if you have any questions about releases you are after. The prices are usually very competitive with large chain stores & I have often found albums cheaper here than HMV or Fopp Manchester. This shop is also highly recommended for Record Store events as they usually get a great selection of releases & you might also find they still have some releases in stock after the events for a week or so after.
Really disappointed, store opened 45 minutes after advertised opening hours, made a detour that morning to get to what I thought would be a vinyl Mecca. How wrong, absolutely no interaction to the point of rudeness, Vinyl is mixed old and new with no differentials which could cause customers to buy something they think is older than it is. Nothing of great interest in the store, proprietor had me stand there to consider a purchase whist he was on his PC. Didn’t make the purchase. Really sorry to leave such negative feedback but it’s not a pleasant experience.
Decent second-hand record shop with some t-shirts and stuff as well. It's really small, so you can get through all of the stock quickly. I found a couple of cool bits while I was there.
Always my first stop when record shopping in Manchester. Friendly and helpful staff. Good variety, t-shirts, mugs, prints etc
This is one of several vinyl record shops at the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter music scene, and is definitely not to be missed on any music shopping trip. The owners are highly knowledgeable and especially passionate about Manchester's musical legacy. The shop's stock reflects this passion too. There are thousands of classic, rare and obscure records to be browsed through. They also have quite a few framed collectable posters, original promos from Oasis, the Stone Roses, etc. A great place for a music-lover to while away some time and be tempted to part with a lot of cash.
What a cracking little shop! Just up the road and around the corner from Piccadilly Records and Vinyl Exchange, Vinyl Revival is an absolute gem. It's deceptive in that despite its small size, there's a lot of stock to look at, and the range is eclectic, with plenty of rock, indie, metal, funk, and Manchester bands aplenty. The staff are friendly and I could easily have spent a fortune! Combined with the two shops mentioned before and Clampdown over towards Piccadilly, these are four brilliant record shops in the heart of Manchester. A must visit!
