Room was very nice and cleaned on a daily basis to a high standard. All staff are very pleasant and helpful , and extra praise for Adam and Anna who work on the bar who are a credit to the hotel. Good choice of items on breakfast buffet and again very nice staff. A big shout out has to go to Marina restaurant manager who makes you feel very welcome and at home and is a Ray of sunshine .
Staying here through my company and have no complaints. Brilliant service by reception and bar staff. Food is served on time and cooked to perfection. Room is clean and well maintained. Marina the bar manager, Maria on the front desk and Adam behind the bar are second to none when it comes to service. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. 10/10
We had booked my nephew and his wife staying at the hotel as part of the Harry Potter tour. It was his wife's birthday and I was late to contact the hotel the same day morning and ask for perhaps something to be provided to make it special. The hotel was amazing for this last minute request and it was unexpected and a great surprise for her. The couple had an amazing time. The room was wonderful too. Thank you, Village Hotel!
We had some friends visiting us from abroad, so we decided to take the kids for some fun at the pool. We went one day before with my friend to check for availability and also to see the place. At the front desk we asked for someone can show us the pool and the spa area. A lady called Eloise took us to the pool entrance and her attitude was wrong from the beginning. We wanted to see what we are paying £25 a person next day, but she obviously didn’t want to spend to much time with us so she was keep telling us to do membership that is more cheaper even though I told here my friends are visiting and we don’t need membership and we just want to pay for the day. Anyway we didn’t see the pool but next day we came 9 of us. Because she didn’t give us any details a day before obviously the kids didn’t have access in the jacuzzi area and the pool water was cold. Anyway we spent 2 hours there and when we left my wife had a problem with the changing Room key bracelet so she seek assistance at the front desk. The same lady Eloise came and obviously she was very frustrated of us being a pain for here. I was waiting in front of the changing room a when she came told me on a very rude tone that o can’t go inside there because it’s the lady’s changing room even though I was waiting for my wife and obviously did not want to enter. Al in one it’s been a disappointing visit taking in consideration the fact that I live in Borehamwood for a long time and I’ve sent so many of my customers to Village Hotel.
The Hotel was clean and staff very friendly and polite. One particular staff member at the front desk namely Abdul was helpful, friendly and made me and my family feel very welcome. He is a real asset to your hotel. Undoubtedly the best Village Hotel in the country.Rooms: 5/5

Nice hotel. Came here for a birthday party as the the family had hired a hall... Hotel staff were lovely, we had an issue with the key card for the room not working two times and in the end they just swapped our room. The room comes with a comfy bed, 46ish inch television, the only thing I would say they need to review is the proximity of the loo roll holder to the toilet. Also the shower dials were so far away from the shower head that you had to heep going back and forth. More an issue with the design team than anything else. I would say the service at the bar could be better, I got there a minute before they were going to close and the lad was quite rude in the way he had told me I cannot get anything more. Breakfast has a good selection and overall it was a very pleasant stay. Would return.
Been a member of the gym for a year now. Great gym and great facilities. A massive improvement with the changing room upgrades and Dan the new fitness manager has done a great job in bringing up the standards of cleanliness.Service: 5/5
I had read a few bad reviews before staying and was a bit concerned about staying in a triple room at village hotel. But I feel I need to reassure anyone booking the same room that it's really not the case. We had a full day at the Harry Potter museum and our 6-year-old was looking forward to staying in a hotel for the first time. Our room was amazing, her bed was a mattress on the floor but was more comfortable than most sofa beds some hotels have for family. Even if she didn't want to sleep on the mattress, our bed was big enough to accommodate all of us. The room was clean and modern. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the food was delicious and well priced. Breakfast was included and you have the choice of everything. I genuinely would stay in a village hotel again. Swimming pool was great and plenty of time was available for family swim, changing rooms not ideal but under construction. Do not be put off by other people's experiences.....if you have extremely high expectations and are used to high end hotels then yes you will be disappointed!!!
Been staying at this hotel since it opened. Customer service is excellent however the quality of the rooms have dropped. Bathroom taps had limescale carpet was dirty. Breakfast is also very basic.Rooms: 2/5
