Stayed here for a one night stop over. The hotel is cute and vintage. The room was very basic. The decor is not Morden but more on the vintage side. The carpet and curtains could have been cleaner. The carpet looked and felt sticky. The bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable, we had a good night sleep. Ok for a nights stay.nOur room was on the ground floor and it was quite a long walk to get to our room and there were also lots of steps along the way and we had heavy bags so that bit was not much fun.nWe had breakfast in the morning and there was large variety to choose from. Really enjoyed the breakfast.nThe staff were friendly and the hotel is clean.nLots of parking available.
We had a wonderful celebration meal in the restaurant for our parents wedding anniversary. The food was excellent. Everyone ordered a la carte and all the food was served at the same time and nice and hot. There's a fairly new chef and we were really impressed with the quality of the food. The service was fantastic too, thank you Marco and Magda. A big thanks to Jo reception and Kate food & beverage for all your help with the planning and preparation for the evening.
Wouldn't recommend this hotel I had to change rooms twice and in the end was put in a suite , it looked good a first sight comfy sofa ,spacious room nice bathroom although no sanitary bags.There was a coffee maker and kettle but no coffee pods only difference from old room was the kettle actually turned itself off and there was a small packet of biscuit and a slice of fudge along with tea bags and a few coffee sachets no extra milk at all something I would have expected as in other hotels I've stayed in.nFood was expensive and continental breakfast wasn't up to much either not for the money anyway Doubletree Hilton and even Holiday Inns had more of a choice as far as I could tell breakfast plates appeared to be large coffee cup saucers,??nAnyway there was a nice view from the suite as i said looked good but several things I found during my night's stay I was a bit unhappy aboutnThink four stars is based on building and location rather than the hotel itself
We celebrated our wedding here over the weekend and it was absolutely amazing! With great service, beautiful and tasty dishes and a lovely personal touch from the staff at the manor, it made our day and night there unforgettable. Thank you!!
The staff here were lovely, went out of their way to help and were so friendly.nThe menu I felt was quite small and limited and some of the rooms felt very tired and in need to a shake up.nHad to leave the shower running for 10 minutes for the water to heat up enough to be comfortable.nThe grounds and setting are stunning.nOverall a good experience but definitely there's things need improved.
