I stayed here for a couple of days and had breakfast in the hotels dining room. I recieved phenomenal care with my celiac requirements for the food. Katie provided me with a specially made plate and had lots of knowledge on staff precautions/ allergy awareness.nnDuring our stay, Rachel didnt hesitate to provide us with fans, extra pillows, and refresh of supplies in our room. She went out of her way to make sure we were content and pleased with our stay.nnThank you, to Village hotel staff who made this an enjoyable stay!
Great service, especially in the dining area. Very friendly staff, Gary was awesome and accommodating. Fitness centre and pool, with sauna and whirlpool, are fantastic. Well equipped and lots of options from virtual classes to free weights and more.nRooms are spacious and well-appointed, with everything you need.nWonderful stay overall. Thank you!
We had a really nice stay. Room was clean. AC wasn't the best and our view was the side of the roof which wasn't great. Other than that nice enough and the bed was comfortable enough. Pillows like in all hotels were terrible. Pool area was great. Staff were lovely and very friendly. I wasn't pleased at having to pay for parking in their own very large car park, it should be free if you are staying. We paid for the breakfast which was a mistake. Its Scotland and no square sausage, tattie scones, black pudding or fried egg in the buffet. I think you can order fried eggs but that defeats the point in a buffet breakfast. Overall id say 7/10. Just a few things I wasn't overly happy about as mentioned above but it certainly wasn't the worst place.
I’ve stayed at Village Hotels several times over the years, and one of the reasons I keep returning is that you generally know what you’re going to get – comfortable rooms, good facilities, and a consistent experience.nnThat said, it’s always the staff who make the biggest difference, and on this occasion Katie was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, she was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely interested in helping. She was chatty without being intrusive, happy to assist with any questions, and made me feel valued as a guest.nnIt’s often the small details and genuine care shown by staff that turn an ordinary hotel stay into a memorable one, and Katie certainly did that. Her positive attitude and excellent customer service are exactly the kind of things that encourage guests to return.nnA real credit to the hotel – well done, Katie, and thank you for making my stay that little bit better.
My partner and I stayed here recently. We booked it because it was very close to an event we had at the SECC and we could use an Uber to get into the busy nightlife area for only £8.nnThe facilities are fantastic and another reason we booked. The gym and studios are huge, clean and the equipment is top notch. Similarly, the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were all immaculate.nnWe were able to park for free which we appreciated as part of the club room we had.nnThe service was spot on too by everyone we encountered. I used the gym facilities the day I arrived and the staff were kind enough to allow me to use the gym facilities even after I had checked out for no extra cost.nnThe room was clean, tidy, modern. Having a hairdryer is a welcome addition and the shower was hot. Bed was comfy, nice view out the window and tv had plenty channels although it seemed to lose signal sporadically.nnWe had breakfast in the morning which was also very nice and really good value for the money paid.nnEverything was perfect and I would definitely stay at a village hotel in the future.nnThe only slight downside which i explained to the staff upon checking out was that the coffee machine water container had some mouldy residue on the bottom, so of course, we didnt use this. I'm sure if we had mentioned this earlier in our stay the staff would have sorted it there and then as they were very attentive, but we simply used the kettle. Thats the only reason I marked this down to 4 stars, albeit maybe slightly harsh!
