Excellent location with loads of parking, very helpful staff on reception desk, decorated beautifully, excellent restaurant the food was perfect, great that there's a Starbucks too. Only thing is that the rooms are a bit style over substance. They were comfortable with nice pillows and all very clean, but absolutely no storage space and limited plug sockets. There are only 3 hangers for clothes and no shelving for anything else, bizarre. We've also never had so many issues with finding plug sockets, there just aren't any! To charge all our phones and plug in a hair dryer we had to unplug a lamp and the kettle. The bathroom is lovely and clean but again no storage, not even a toothbrush holder. We've never had this issue in any hotel before, usually storage is great in most hotels these days and there are plenty of plugs, especially since a lot of people stay in hotels for work now and need to plug in laptops etc. It was quiet though and as I said the rooms were clean and well decorated and the staff and restaurant were amazing. I would highly recommend this place and definitely would stay again. It's also outside Glasgow city centre which is good as driving in Glasgow can be difficult and slow going
Stayed at the Village Hotel whilst attending a gig at the Hydro and the convenient location was amazing. Your staff are some of the most polite and courteous we have had the pleasure of dealing with at any hotel. Dinner was superb as was the breakfast the following morning, however, one very small gripe I had was that no Decaff coffee was available but apart from that we could not fault the food or service. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable and we had a great view. Leisure facilities were spot on, plenty of choice and a great pool. All in all the Village Hotel will now be our go to for future stays in Glasgow! Fantastic experience
Rooms were good, however I would not recommend hosting an event in the function room. Staff were rude, hurried everyone while eating their food, then closed the bar far to early from the event end time! Awaiting a response to a complaint.
This is a great hotel. Pretty convenient situation, free parking. Swimming pool, swimsuits on sale if you don't have one, sauna, steam room. Very comfortable beds. Lovely staff.
Stayed this weekend on Friday and Saturday night as a couple for a short trip away.nBooking was interesting, understand fluid pricing but this changed by over £150 frequently up and down. So make sure you book when you see the low price.nJoin their ‘club’ it’s free and you get a club room, with some upgraded bits , like some sweets, a later check out, a coffee machine, access to the gym and pool.nThe pool is good, you’ll be given and towel and a bracelet for the locker. Check family swim times if you want a quieter swim.nGreat choice of tv channels, was a novelty to find the Sky F1 channel to watch an early morning race.nnAbsolutely do not bother with the restaurant. I bought a £10 voucher for £20 credit, it’s clear on my email, the grill staff denied all Knowledge of my vouchers, despite reception assuring me it was attached to my room number.nOne waitress one of many working kept telling us how she was so so so busy, we were the only couple eating in the restaurant at around 19:30 on a Saturday night. Service was slow, knowledge about the menu and offers was non existent. Food was ok, its was hot, most of the things we wanted to order were not available because there was a show a mile or so away.nnCheck your bill like a hawk, it will be emailed to you. I’ve been charged for incorrect extras including another random food voucher, that apparently doesn’t exist and a random extra £10 payment.nnCommunication with the hotel is poor. When you ask them something that favours them, they contact you immediately. When you point out their errors and ask for a refund please - you’re ghosted.nnA good stay until poor service in the grill on our last night and dishonestly taking random payments from my account.nnDespite it being a good stay mostly. I can’t condone dishonesty and could not recommend.
