This is an easy location to find and near the major. We used the facilities whilst on site. Starbucks was a superb treat after a long drive. The daughter found the length of the pool on the small side but she is a swimmer, I however find it suitable for a leisure swim.nnThe bedroom needs some TLC. The toilet holder in our room was moving and a fair amount of paint was chipped. We had a family room and the size was great.nnThe best part was our interaction with the receptionist Chloe. She welcomed us on arrival and provided a clear explanation on the location of our room along with the complimentary items we had due to the family room. We also discussed breakfast which is very accommodating for food intolerance gluten and lactose free people here.nnWould we go back to this chain, yes definitely.
My husband and I just returned from a trip to the uk to visit his family. We chose this hotel because it was close to our family, and we had heard it was nice. We were extremely disappointed in the whole experience. It’s mostly a self service check in, and there was no one to help with our bags. We were traveling with a large quantity of medical supplies that were heavy. There was only one cart to transport our stuff upstairs, and no one to help us with it. We could barely squeeze the cart into the lift.nThe lifts were tiny, and when we finally got to the second floor, we were greeted with another set of stairs which made it impossible to get to our room without carrying all our boxes quite a distance. We eventually found a second elevator but the whole hotel was not really accessible without having to walk a fair distance. I imagine a wheelchair user would struggle.nOur room was okay but there was no safe to store our passports, or a mini fridge which would have been helpful since we were staying there 2 weeks.nThe quality of food wasn’t great, and we had trouble finding places to park on some nights because the Euros were on, and the car park was full. I understand that the pub is open to the public, but having some reserved parking for actual guests would be nice. It was very noisy on some nights due to the amount of people at the pub.nThe decor was dated and it obviously needs to be refreshed. It seems like most of the money has gone into the gym and pub, and the rooms are just an afterthought.nFor the amount of money this cost us, I expected better. I guess next time we will use an air b & b.
Took advantage of a late deal and so glad we did. The reception staff, Cerian and June, were so helpful and friendly and made us very welcome, more so than any other receptionists I have ever encountered.nDecided to eat in the adjoining pub which, via the Village app, gave us 25% discount. The food was delicious, our server Grace was exceptionally friendly and attentive and helped to make our evening.nOur room was spacious and spotless and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.nI will certainly return here whenever I am able
Poor customer service. There are disabled parking bays but anyone and everyone parks in them, even trades people. Reported to staff several times and nothing is done.nUsed the gym and pool for a few years, and there is always something broken or not in use. All equipment is poorly maintained. The Aqua crowd generally runs the place, taking over the pool a good 15 - 20 minutes before and after the class making it very difficult for anyone else to swim. Doesn't help that it's not a very big pool anyway. I was even warned to get out of the pool 15 minutes before a class even started by a lady who didn't even know if I was joining in the class. These issues have been raised with staff several times who aren't interested and refuse to do anything about it or come up with a range of excuses.
Went for 2 over nights with the other half & the kids. Staff were friendly from the moment we walked in the door. Our room was spotless, big flat screen telly, had a view over the pond. Pool was lovely & warm. First nights sleep was restless due to inconsiderate neighbours in the next room. The room could do with a few touch ups but other than that it was a fabulous weekend away.
