I had to let my precious cat, Missy, cross the rainbow bridge today. Staff were extremely kind & sensitive & I can't speak highly enough of the vet that looked after us both. He allowed me time with, before, during & after the procedure. There was no rush & he handled Missy so gently and with dignity. I can't thank him enough.
WARNING be carful taking you beloved pets to vets for pets Fulwell a two year old and eight month German shepherd went in to be spayed and never came home and no satisfactory explanation given her name was Lexi she was a perfectly healthy dog in every way. We trust the process and this is what happened. Absolutely shocking
Mam and sisters took the dog in for a lump that had burst. Vets were not compassionate and moved on to the price for the work very quickly. Next started to say the dog needed dental work when that was not the reason for the visit. Could not tell us what the lump actually was, claimed that they cannot tell us for sure what it is until after the operation has been payed for though there was suspicion of cancer. The dog is now due to be euthanased at a different vet. They are not happy with the visit at all, would not recommend.
Fabulous friendly staff and male vet was patient and friendly aswell as professional, especially as I have a quiet, nervous small rescue dog. Many thanks I have used this vets before with previous dogs and its great. Also plenty of parking out front close to vets, handy if like me you have to carry your small dog in. Grass bits fenced round carpark for toilet before and after vets for your dog. Also next door is greggs and Coop so handy to pop in either straight after or before vets while dog in car or in vets. Greggs there has tables and chairs outside if you need a cuppa while you wait for your pet or friends or a lift. Easy access to car park left off main dual carriageway type road for me and then on way back an easy up to roundabout and right turn to go back home. Thanks
Really great with my anxious pup. Gave some great advice.
This was bonnie first visit to this practice in over a year ,vet and ladies on reception are extremely helpful. thank you
Normally have no negative about this practice when taking my guinea pigs for grooming but when 1 of the guinea pigs was poorly we got a emergency appointment for her on the same day friday to have a examination, we told the vet which name is IGNATIUS what we thought was the problem ie teeth, he took her out the room, came back said it is her teeth that are long so would clip them for now but she needed to be be put under sedation as her back teeth were quite long 2, we agreed on this, asked if she was underweight as she felt light to us, his reply yes she is slightly underweight so would prescribe food to get her through the weekend, he also on examination that her teeth had cut her tongue so I said that will be painful so can you prescribe painkillers, yes was his reply, wished i had mentioned about the smell coming from her mouth which was clearly a infection but he should have noticed that anyway & offered antibiotics He booked her in for the following Tuesday & said she would be fine.Granted no-one knows what will happen but she died on the Sunday, having seizures before hand..googled why & main reason for this is is infection...we considered the vets & this VET has lied constantly about what was said, said she was emaciated on arrival, no cut on tongue & HE offered pain relief..weeks gone by & granted they investigated but said it was our word against his & offered to pay us back the consultation fee, we refused as it wasn't to do with money we wanted an apology for his lies, which we NEVER got & they said it was his word against ours..So word of warning ALWAYD HAVE YOUR PHONE ON VOICE RECORD WHEN ENTERING THE CONSOLATIONS ROOM so you have proof
Teddy enjoyed his first ever visit, all staff were lovely
Please be very careful with how much this vet quotes verses what they bill you for. We have moved our pet from this practice due to unclear pricing & over charging. I signed a document with a set amount payable before the procedure they charged £150 over the signed for price. When I complained about being over charged, they seemed to believe that it did not matter because I was claiming through pet insurance. Everyone knows owners are required to pay a percentage of the claim for an aged pet! The correct price should have been provided prior to the procedure! They eventually refunded the difference but then decided to add an additional £80 because they said I had not been billed correctly their mistake again for previous prescriptions! They also charge £20 extra for direct insurance claims. However when if you do an indirect insurance claim they will still charge you £20, they state this is because they will still need to consult with the insurance company about an indirect claim too. They have on multiple occasions taken a deposit for an appointment slot and then forgotten to remove this deposit amount from the cost of the treatment & I have had to request a refund. My pet was also on two occasions taken in for tests and on both occasions a machine was not working so the tests could not be fully completed. We were invited back for the follow up test but when we attended, all the vet did was perform a general health check without any further test being done!
Lovely clean little vets practice with friendly staff and a reasonable price for my cat's claws cut. I'll be using this vets again for sure.
