Kind, compassionate, trustworthy vets - not a chain, and not on commission - they regularly recommend a less expensive option or a less invasive test. My experience is that the animals are what matters here. Would highly recommend.
They take excellent care of our dog. He is a senior citizen now and after a lifetime of good health he now has heart problems. The vet was really good with him and explained the treatment he needs to us to ease our concerns

Always a stressful experience when your petpart of the family is out of sorts, but this very reassuring practice has been a godsend. I have thanked my neighbours numerous times for the recommendation they gave me years ago and l drive past about half a dozen or so to get there. Five star vets
Rang up to try and book our dog in for a general health check. We did not need an immediate appointment and were willing to wait. I was basically told “no we will not see your dog ever as you are not registered”. I asked to register and was told I could not as we were registered with another vet. All we wanted was a second opinion on a health condition we were very worried about. The service from Roker Park Vets can only be described as rude, unhelpful with a complete lack of care for our dog or us. I rang another highly rated Sunderland vet and got an appointment 3 days later with a pleasant receptionist.
A vet that’s actually interested in the health and well-being of your pet rather than just trying to make money! Very impressed with the advice and professional care our cat recently received. After a visit to our regular not anymore franchised vet with our cat who had a tear under his front leg I was told he needed an operation the following day and it would be at least £750, which could increase ‘depending on what they may find when doing it’. Unhappy with this, I rang Roker Park vets for a second opinion, they offered to see our cat straight away and on meeting the vet I was very impressed not only with his knowledge and information he gave me regarding our cats wound, but more so he seemed very interested in the cats well-being rather than the vets bank account. I was advised there wasn’t an urgent need to operate on the cat, and that wounds such as his have a good chance of healing themselves in time as long as antibiotics are given and no infection is there. So some antibiotics, and a few weeks later our cats wound has fully healed, no operation needed and saved me hundreds of pounds! Also, had the cat of needed the operation, Roker Park vets could of done it hundreds of pounds cheaper also.
Excellent service as usual. Have used this vetinary practice for many years and our pets are always treated with love and care by Mr Murphy and all his staff. Thank you, Fudge treated quickly and started to recover from the allergy, within a couple of hours of treatment.
