My name is Giuseppe D.P.  and I come from Germany/Italy. The First night at this hostel I accindentally broke a metal bar while going Up or down? the ladder to reach my bunk bed: Basically this metal bar was there to hang the bed curtain and It was placed in a way, literally between the ladder steps, which made you very easily step on it while going up or down the ladder especially during My first night There, when it was all dark and I didnt want to switch on the light of the room to disturb the others. I also accindentally bent down One more bar on top of the previous One, again, while going Up or down the ladder. After reporting My fault to the reception I was charged 100 pounds with No Mercy and without any possibility tò negotiate. I really appreciated The girl at the reception I cant Remember the Name, Shes from Korea: She tried to negotiate with the boss without success and in general was There tò reassure me with nice words. I even proposed to be charged half Charge, but it didnt Help. Is this the way to treat honest customers, Who by the way immediately reported what happened to the reception, without hiding themselves? Also, I ask myself, how is it possible that IT was completely My fault? Im pretty Sure that also Other people before me accindentally stepped on the bar, contributing to its bending, otherwise how can I break a metal bar Just After a few times I stepped on It? Nice Hostel, but brutal manners.
Me and a friend stayed in a womens room. The room itself was fine, the real problem and reason for our early checkout was stafety. The showers were mixed and very non private, they were essentially stalls, the same with toilets. As a woman I felt unsafe and unable to be hygenic. The girl at the reception was very unbothered and slow helping us. The neighbourhood felt unsafe and we got cat called each night. My stay in London became horrible due to this hostel.
Came home after stay with bed bugs bites. Answer from hotel about this issue that they have it checked and treated - all done in less than 6 hours. So obviously lie. Shower dirty with zero privacy. I skipped them as I was watched by creepy other male guest. Not safe for woman. All the place look a lot like without care at all. Reception not really marked, its confusing. No lounge or kitchen really present. Only good things is location close to the city and nice staff on reception/bar.
Staff are very gracious and helpful here, good bar, excellent food, old place but cheap and cheerful and feel safe and secure enough to stay again as hostels are less private especially in shared rooms.Rooms: 3/5
This is a very nice hostel for someone with a low budget who wants to visit London. The only reason I am not attributing 5 stars is because of the showers who could be a little cleaner.Rooms: 5/5

Staff were friendly. The music in the reception area is a bit loud when tired. Delivery staff come and go too often. I were supposed to stay four nights, but two nights was the limit. There is nowhere to settle down. Official photo is an exposed close-up shot with the lights on. The room I stayed in had a window, but it could not be opened and there was no ventilation. The smell in the room was a harsh mixture of perfume and body odour. There is no kitchen in this hostel and the toilet and shower are on separate floors. Also, the showers and toilets are in the same structure and there is no privacy in the space to undress and wash yourself, and it is too cold in winter. Not recommended if the physical sex is female, regardless of gender. You can really sleep if you have earplugs and an eye mask, and if you have the toughness or sense of urgency to rely on eating out or walking just over 10 minutes to the station every time. It could also be a good option for people who want to socialise with the people in the hostel. Homosocial, though. Rooms: With your unlucky, the room is filled with a foul smell. The bunk beds were very shaky, even though they were only used by one person each.
I'am from France and I came alone being seventeen years old. I came in London for 12 days just in order to practice and learn English, and actually I've been finely surprised by this hostel. I was firstly in a room that actually was old and so on, but then they moved me to do renovation in this old room. I've been in such a nice room, I truly felt safe, I ve well slept... The hostel is also well-located, it s in zone 2, near to zone 3 Greenwich and near to plenty of bus stations.. I genially enjoyed it, I loved the staff especially the indian guy, every single time I saw him he told me "hi brother"... Anyway If I had to come back in London I would do a reservation. Ps: I've taken some videos but no picture, so I did some screenshots. Rooms: Some of them are in renovation, but the one done are very beautiful Nearby activities: Buses, train, underground... Otherwise we also have Greenwich not that far... Safety: Nothing to say, it s fine
5 stars because of the amazing staff and location Great atmosphere and value for money, I slept in a 4-bed room and slept quite okay. Only downside was the hotness of the room due to no A/C, which was to be expected. Showers and toilets were clean, bed was comfortable. Do note it's double beds though, I didn't mind but it's good to know beforehand Staff has all been very friendly and cheerful, lady who checked me in was very sweet and would love to come again for a longer stay
