I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Mauro and his team were exceptional in guiding us through the journey of Kimchi. They have a clear vision for their concept and it shines through in every dish. Their kindness and dedication are truly reflected in the food. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for new flavors, and it's a top option for vegetarians. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit!
This is a very wholesome restaurant serving healthy and delicious food. Their dishes all feel home made and the portions are quite filling. I would definitely recommend getting their sushi burger, it’s so good and their pink sauce is so unique. For desert, I’d also recommend getting their chocolate potato. Again, a very unique dish and the chocolate sauce is mouthwatering! We also had the pleasure of meeting the chef who is such a fun person! I can’t wait to come here again to try their kimchi pasta!
A small, packed vegan restaurant that serves delicious food with a delightful host that makes you feel very welcome. The food is a fusion of Italian and Korean. There is a kimchi core to the menu but also a selection without kimchi. On arrival you are presented with a plate of 4 kimchi options to try, so that you know which is your favourite and can make the correct choice for you main dish. Each main dish on the kimchi menu can be customised with your own selection of 1 or more kimchi options. This was a novel experience which we loved. Vegetarian options: All vegan and delicious.
The owner made it an experience I’ll never forget. Make sure to read the menu descriptions for the items — there are some really funny ones. When we ordered the chocolate potato dish, I joked that I only wanted one spoon and not to share with anyone else at the table of 5. The owner came out with 5 spoons and handed them out one by one to make sure everyone got a bite of my chocolate potato dish before me absolutely hilarious. The food was creative — more Korean leaning than Italian, but still decidedly Korean-Italian fusion. Really pleasant overall. I got the sushi burger and it was super tasty. Keep in mind this place is cash only — to make sure you find bills.
This restaurant has such a peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful salt lamps really stuck out. The food is absolutely delicious and filled with love. The Kimchi and the Kombucha are so frickin delicious. The Kombucha was not as sweet as those in cans, you could really feel how good it was for your body. I also loved the food is medicine sign and the friendliness and openness of the staff. I had pesto with gnocchi with the spicy Kimchi on top and as dessert mochi. Mhh so delicious. I tried both Kombucha flavors which were both absolutely delicious. Last but not least I had the hemp tea, I felt super relaxed and calm after drinking it. I will definitely come back here. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves delicious healthy unique vegan food.
Highly recommend. This has been on our to-go list of vegan restaurants when visiting London and what an amazing experience we had. I called twenty minutes beforehand and luckily Chef Mauro was kind enough to reserve us a table for my wife and I. The atmosphere is great and what makes this place special is that Mauro is truly passionate about his veganism and his restaurant. He came talked us through the dishes, sat with us and genuinely engaged with us. We munched our way through starters, main course and deserts and were definitely impressed with all of it. Ticked off the vegan bucket list of London restaurants.
This place has so many good reviews because they are offering free kambucha shots for reviews. Italien-Korean sounds interesting but the food lacks flavour. Also the female owner was rude to the stuff several times while we ate there. All this together with the fact that you sit very tight there, food is overpriced and you can only pay in cash, it was an overall experience that we cannot recommend. So much potential but no good outcome.
Had a wonderful dinner here. Everything is homemade and the dishes are really creative — and what I had was delicious. They have four different flavors of kimchi that you can choose for the kimchi-based dishes, but there are also dishes without kimchi. I had the new main course, Sushi Tremazzino, which has homemade “meat” made from pumpkin and sunflower seeds — tasty and really impressive, and the dish was filling. My only regret is that I was there by myself so I couldn’t try more than one dish. Next time I will try something else!
the food was absolutely incredible. like nothing else - delicious flavours i didn't even know existed. the fusion of kimchi into other things works way better than it sounds, but there are also non-fused dishes for the less adventurous. everything was incredibly flavourful, varied, colourful and fresh, and not tooo expensive either. the staff were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic the head chef was in the front so we had a lovely chat, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable and cosy. everyone ordered two different dishes and there wasn't a single morsel that wasn't perfect. Vegetarian options: menu is entirely vegan, although you wouldn't tell - the sauce on the pasta was creamy and smooth. Dietary restrictions: perfect for vegans. also lots of options for GF, NF, and everything's labelled on the menu. Parking: it's brick lane - don't bother driving
Be mindful that you must pay CASH here it was not told to us explicitly, we read it on a sign in the back when entering. As there is not an ATM on the premises, you will be directed to an ATM at the corner. The ATM did not work for us, so the owner allowed us to pay via card. The fusion concept was interesting, and I appreciated the small business, homemade aspect of the restaurant. The quality was not as high and the taste not as delicious as I had hoped for the price, though. Quite expensive. I ordered a kombucha I was very curious to try homemade kombucha and it was sadly maybe max only a third of what you’d purchase at the shop for the same price, and was watery. The burger was messy to eat, but tasted alright. Lots of rice. The sausages were the tastiest part of the meal. I was impressed the chef / owner hand rolled them herself. As a side note - it is stated on the menu that if you leave a good google review, you’ll get a free kombucha. Likely why this establishment has a 4.9.
