Food was incredible and ready super quickly but clearly made fresh, good quality ingredients and overall super tasty. Clean environment with a nice vibe and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming even so close to closing time. Sooo good! I had the chick'n gyros and my partner had the doner kebab wrap. Incredibly tasty, generous portions, and lots of sauce and flavour. And great value! I'll definitely go back again.Food: 5/5
Low key spot for top tier wraps. Flavorful. Saucy. Closest thing I’ve had to New York City vegan kabab wrap outside of New York City. Atmosphere was quiet and low key. Friendly. Clean. A refuge in brick lane. The bread was warm and stretchy, the kabab was well spiced and had a solid chew to it I think it’s seitan based. The sauce was rich. All in all a mouth watering combination. The portion size was pretty massive so it’s a great choice if you’re super hungry or want to save some for later. Sorry for the rough photo. It looked so good I had to take a few bites before taking the pic. Really nice guy at the front. There’s no bathroom but they’ll direct you to where the nearest bathrooms are if you ask. Very reasonably priced too. I will be back 100%.
This food was absolutely atrocious! I ordered a vegan Donor wrap, I used to have this all the time as it was delicious, I thought to try it again after so many years. It didn’t live up to my expectations and was no where near as nice as it used to be. Whoever made my wrap put hardly any salad or sauce to balance it out just the meat and bread! So stodgy and inedible. I will never eat this again. Luckily deliveroo gave me a full refund and this wrap went straight into the bin.
I was sent the wrong order and couldn't eat my food, when requesting a refund through uber eats they were no help. Originally ordered with ketchup and no onions, came with hummus and onions.... and it was cold :
Won’t pretend I knew it was vegan the first time I came in, but went with it anyway when I found out. Best decision - absolutely sensational. So fresh, so nice. I’ve been back now 4 times and will make it double figures by October. Gorgeous.Food: 5/5
Great little spot tucked away for a quick meal take out and the have some seating inside. Fast and substantial Middle East food. No fuss, low cost but certainly not lacking in taste. The Baklava pastry was seriously light and fluffy; one of the best I had.
Back in August 2022, I reported a website error that was preventing me from accessing a promo discount. "Cem" emailed back on the same day to advise that they would get this issue sorted, but nothing was said about the promo discount that could not be accessed. I replied that same evening to remind Cem about this, but never heard back from them. At the time of writing this review, the server error still displays when attempting to access the promo. In May 2023, I finally managed to find the time and opportunity to visit What The Pitta. My first impressions of the place were not good. As soon as I walked in, I could see and hear 3 staff members in the kitchen engaging in a loud, almost-aggressive conversation, in which one staff member was complaining about someone else. There were other customers who were eating when I arrived, and it seemed as though this discussion had already been going on for some time. This continued for about 2 to 3 minutes, during which not one staff member noticed that I was waiting to place my order. When one of them did finally notice me waiting at the counter, the most vocal staff member, the cook, exclaimed a profanity. I'm not expecting a gourmet/first class experience at a vegan kebab place, but there are some minimum standards that I expect of any food place. What The Pitta fell short before I had even placed my order. My food was served quickly after I'd ordered and the cook was polite with me, but I wasn't sure how genuine that was, given that I had just listened to them badmouth another person for several continuous minutes. I enjoyed the onion rings and fries. The kebab wrap was a bit dry. I couldn't see much chilli sauce inside it, but that's assuming the chilli sauce would look like what you get at conventional kebab places. Overall, the meal was not offensive. It was £12 for a meal deal one main, one side, and one drink. I just wish the first impression of the venue and staff was better.

I'm not usually a fan of non meat food stuffs, but this is definitely one eatery that everyone should try out, carnivore or otherwise! The chilli is spicy and the food served fresh and hot. I had the Doner Chip box, with a drink. Good food, amazing service and fast to boot. If you're passing brick lane or even a local give this place a visit/ takeaway order. You won't regret it... Plus as it's vegan it definitely caters to those on a halal/ vegetarian diet as well. Vegetarian options: As a vegan restaurant it caters to vegetarian consumers. The whole menu is such. Dietary restrictions: Halal, vegan, vegetarian. Kid-friendliness: Kid meal options and seating for up to 4 parties 2 of 2 and 2 of 4
