C,nts. Took me 15 minutes to pay using their app, which I had to download on my phone first and then my bank wanted to verify my purchase. Issued with a parking fine. Tried appealing, no luck. Didn't risk taking appeal any further, as at this point the fine would rise from £60 to £100. £60 is already a huge amount. Please don't park here. It's not worth the risk.
Please refer to every other 1star review. I received a hefty fine of £100 after paying for my time spent in the car park. I left and came within the given time slot. I went online to see if it was just me but it wasn’t. Every other review on here is identical to my own situation. I’m not sure how they can’t get away with this!
Do not park in this car park. I tried to pay for my parking for 24hrs which was in excess of £45 but after downloading the app and payment failing numerous times I drove off and parked elsewhere. In total i was in the car park for just over 15 minutes, parking messing about downloading the app and queuing at the machine that didn't allow you to pay by card. I was then given a £60 fine and appealed on the grounds above and it got rejected and increased to £100. I'm now contesting and will be happy to attend court as I won't be paying for the fine. Disgusting company!
- machine in car park only accepts coins - cannot get an internet connection in the car park to download app to pay by card well i couldn't at the time - i walked to my office which is local and downloaded app and paid. I then get a fine through the post telling me i'd gone past the allotted period with which to get a ticket, please pay £100. - Nice one Footnote - good luck trying to squeeze into one of their parking spaces
If only I could give a zero!! I wonder if the owner of the land knows what an awful company One Parking Solution is? Surely they would have more people using the car park if we weren’t so scared of getting a hefty fine for being a couple of minutes over the ticket time.
I confess I returned 10 minutes after the parking ticket expired. However, the notice I received is based on the camera shot of your car entering and leaving - not the moment you pay. Thus, I spent 3hrs 21mins not 3hrs 10mins I thought I question the ethics and legality of this practise. If you spend a few minutes leaving your car and reading the notice to work out the charge - the clock has already started running without your knowledge. I won't be using this lot again!
We had a awful experience using this car park. They fine you if you don't pay within the 10 minute 'grace period'. So if you're struggling to park like us and you don't get a spot straight away you'll be fined. Apparently they explain this as you go in but I don't think they make it very apparent and I'm not sure people really expect a hefty fine after 10 minutes if they then pay for their parking. Would not recommend.
Doesn’t take cards, gives you 10 minutes to download and register an obscure app that doesn’t work a number of times before you can actually register it. No mention of ‘grace period’ in the signs and they fine you if not done within 10 minutes, which is virtually impossible with the dodgy app. Don’t consider an appeal and don’t refund the money you paid for the parking.
Utter rubbish. DO NOT USE THIS CAR PARK. I was stuck on the other side of town when I had to extend my parking, which I began to do so 5 minutes before expiry. The app crashed my whole phone which I had to restart resulting in my payment being a few minutes late. £100 fine reduced to £60 if paid in 14 days. I appealed this fine, explaining that I had paid for the amount of time I used, and that their app was faulty. God forbid you try to call them.... The phone number on the signs takes you to a very confused telephone operator at DWP! Feels like such a scam after I already spent nearly £100 at the car park over a few days. Overpriced and unethical
Do not park here!!!! Avoid Avoid Avoid if you don’t want to be ripped off. Terrible parking space controls by Scumbag One Parking Solution LTD company. I got charged £100 fine for purchasing my ticket 2 minutes later than I supposed to. Apparently you got only 10 minutes to purchase your parking ticket once you enter the parking area, as in my case, I didn't have the correct change and I had to update my credit card details on the app to be able to pay for the parking. However, it toke me 12 minutes in total to do that. Therefore, According to the scumbag company's rules parking session purchased after the grace period expired. In addition, I event left the parking area 10 minutes before my actual ticket was due to expire so I over stayed in the parking spot for only 2 minutes. I understand the rules and regulations but staying 2 minutes extra or buying your ticket 2 minutes late should not give them the right to charge you £100, 200 times more than what it should be. I am happy to pay for 1 hour extra or if not 24 hours extra but not £100. Ridiculous. This is a robbery.
