There's a mile of golden, soft sand. Perfect for sandcastle making. There's rock pools on either side and two eateries, one at either end. A great sandy beach, with plenty of room. At low tide, there is a reef that gets exposed at the North end of the beach. It was good fun bolder hopping along it. Keep an eye on the tide coming in though. Apparently there are really good waves for surfing here too. There is a cafe at either end and surf lessons are also available. Great for all ages.

One of the most stunning beaches in the north east of england. Dogs are welcome at certain times of the year. Lots of lovely coffee shops and restaurants
