Very friendly helpful staff at check in . Room is absolutely amazing very clean and stunning view over river and beach . Food is a most  absolutely delicious.  Really cannot rate this place high enough best place to stay in south shields will definitely be returning.

Went for afternoon tea at Little Haven yesterday for friends Birthday , was absolutely beautiful food was lovely and plenty of it for 3 and great location as couple of us have disabilities staff were brilliant  especially  in restraunt lady called Sharon compliments to the chef as his food was to die for so thank you for a very beautiful experience esp when my friends elderly mother hasn't been out for 5 years she / we loved it sat us by window  view to die for xxxxx

We have visited little haven several times without any issues until this weekend arriving on the 11th of April departing on the 14th of April. We was allocated room 105 which is an easy access room which was great because the wife has mobility issues. The bathroom as recently been upgraded to a wet room which is fantastic apart with the problem with the toilet, unfortunately it was leaking between the base of the toilet and the floor and when you had the shower on the waste pump from the shower made it worse. We immediately reported this to reception but she said there was no maintenance personnel available. I thought that they would get a member of the management team to come and take a look but no. Then we had a issue with house keeping we left the label on our door asking for the room to be cleaned especially the bathroom floor but we returned to our room Saturday evening and there was a carrier bag hung on the door handle with 1 towel and a selection of milk coffee and biscuits inside and the room untouched again we reported this and they said they were having problems in that department. We do like coming to the little haven but this experience has put us off a little.,all it needed was a friendly word from a member of the management team then I wouldn’t be writing this review.nAndy & Joan Wilkinson

Beautiful, peaceful bed and breakfast with gorgeous ocean views. You can take a lovely walk on the beach with all the boats going by. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, pubs, and a park.
