I stayed here for 5 nights and it was absolutely great! The room was nice, for its price. View from the window was absolutely amazing but the best part is breakfast! I really enjoyed it. Hotel crew is friendly and helpful. Always in a good mood and keeping the atmosphere inside the hotel in the best manner.
My friend Debs and myself stayed over on Friday 3rd Feb 2023. Our room didn't have a view but as we were out late it didn't matter. Rooms aren't fancy but room and bedding were clean. Bed was also comfy. The rooms are upstairs so not for people with mobility issues. I have to say one member of staff. Sorry forgot your name, the cook, was absolutely amazing. He couldn't do enough for me , as I am vegan. He had vegan butter , oat milk and sausages ready for me. The breakfast is buffet style so lots to choose from. Cereal, fruit, toast too.Dining room is very clean and relaxing. They are planning to move it downstairs as its on first floor at the moment. There's a few parking spaces on the front of the property. If no space then the Beefeater has free parking from 6pm at night until 10am. All in all this beach front hotel was a great find. I'm a dog owner. I'm not sure if they take dogs . If they don't then this would be the only downfall because Whitley Bay is a dog loving area.
Friendly staff, room was quite decent, Toilet did my head in because it's got a macerator at back to churn the tissue, but all's it did was push tissue back up and you had to flush about 4/5 times. Breakfast buffet was ok..Rooms: 4/5
Nice hotel, very convenient for the seafront, Spanish City etc. We had a double room which was spacious with an equally specious bathroom shower no bath. Despite the size of the room the shower was a tad snug but was nice and hot. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet. Staff were really friendly throughout the stay. Good quality breakfast hot buffet and selection of cereals.
The Hotel is situated right on the front so if you get a sea view room you're lucky. I don't know if you can ask for that in advance. The hotel itself was clean and tidy and the rooms that we had were fit for purpose. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom we had was looking a little tired and considering they've had the whole of the pandemic to sort our the little things it's a shame but I am being a bit picky there. The breakfast we had next morning was a buffet style cooked one and there was plenty to eat so it certainly hit the spot for me. Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay and would seriously consider going back if up that way again.
Spotlessly clean but tired in need of a face-lift. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff throughout were very friendlyRooms: 3/5
Room 7... seafront room. Its awesome. It's really spacious with loads of light. Blinds and curtains. No bath sadly but the shower is canny. Parking is limited to about 6 spaces I think outside the front of the hotel so the earlier you get there, the better The staff are fantasic, lass with long dark hair on reception has a cracking sense of humour and the dude who was on night shift was very helpful. I asked for help re a lack of sockets and he brought an extension cable up. Breakfast is fab, the bacon and sausages are really good quality. Loads of walks and things to do with St Mary's Lighthouse a short walk away. Will be back. Loved the place.
Great staff and the breakfast was superb. Good location and if the carpark is full there is another one approximately 100 metre's away at £3.00 for 24 hours. Rooms need a bit of an upgrade but altogether a great stay.Rooms: 3/5
Checked into room 12 on arrival. Raggy blinds at windows. Double duvet in a king size cover. Had a word at reception. Was given new room4 lovely room. Unfortunately. Due to family circumstances beyond our control. We had to check out before we got chance to stop in it.Rooms: 4/5
Poor decor, poor quality of room. Website advertises‘recently refurbished’. Don’t take any notice, the front sea view rooms have had a facelift. The rooms not on the front are grubby and dingy. Breakfast ok. Broken blinds and curtains, grubby worn out fixtures and fittings. Dirty pull cords on switches. Location good- right in the seafront. Wouldn’t stay here again, I would pay more and stay at Premier Inn a few yards up the road.
