Lovely welcome and good room. Breakfast was delicious and the service was great. The hosts are friendly, attentive and remember your specific requests. They also take an interest in you and remember what you say. Great stay here. Would come back again if in the area Rooms: Lovely clean rooms with fresh towels. Tea/coffee making facilities and TV with Freeview, apps also on the TV. Fan in room. Nearby activities: Close to the town centre. Just a short walk or drive to shops and restaurants. Safety: Safe place to stay. The front door is locked at all times and each room has a lock on. Walkability: Close enough to walk to the town centre, Penrith castle and park. Food & drinks: Delicious breakfast in the Guest House, the hosts cater to your specific needs. Close to the town centre for restaurants and pubs.

I stayed here with my partner and my brother in law for 1 night, upon arrival the 2 owners were lovely to talk to and the rooms were up to the standard of which you pay for. My brother in law stayed in a larger room which had a sink in it. The room also had bath robes as the bathroom was down a hall, it was still private and with a large shower and sink. The room I stayed in had a larger bed, a chair with a window on to the street, which could be an issue if you have the window open as it does get noisy. There is a sliding door that leads to a shower and toilet facilities, this allows a form of privacy to whom you are sharing the room with. In the morning I had a full English, and my partner had a vegetarian breakfast, with both enjoyed the breakfast. We had coffee and orange juice with one of the owners asking if we wanted re-fills. Overall the night sleep was great after a nice dinner at the local Wetherspoons with nice environment and comfy beds. I would stay here again due to the lovely owners and the nice facilities. Edit: there are not too many parking spaces, so you might have to communicate with other customers to move cars, with 2 cars the parking is manageable though.
Most enjoyable stay small room but as it was the last room on New Year's eve we didn't have a choice & we were very grateful. Friendly owners excellent breakfast. Would certainly recommend. Thanks.
Amazing hosts, we got delayed and arrived at 1am instead of 10pm yet they welcomed us with a smile! Then in the morning, breakfast was amazing with great service! even our vegetarian sausages were made separately from the meat ones. Rooms were very clean, no complaints at all. Will 100% recommend to everyone.Rooms: 5/5
6 of us stayed here for the Kendal Calling festival close by, the service here was exactly what we needed! Both the Gent and the Lady that run this guesthouse can not do enough for you, they are sweethearts. Breakfast service is great, rooms are super comfy and well equipped. Great central location to travel up north and lake district attractions. Very convenient location with available parking and good size hotel to stay in with lots of privacy. Furthermore, great customer service and very friendly staff with remarkable hospitality. Delicious breakfast in the morning like a star hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel for any kind of stay.
Great little guest house. Breakfast top quality with decent local produce and as much as you want to eat and drink! They are very helpful too providing tools and assistance to fix our bikes. We were on the Coast to Coast ride and they seem to understand all the needs for this perfectly with a bike lock up and really tasty flapjack to take for the day.
