Excellent B & B , host Vicky friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and well appointed. Breakfast choice excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Near to centre of Penrith.Rooms: 5/5
Outstanding place and Vickie ensures that your stay is perfect. A lovely environment, excellent room and facilities. Even ensured that I had a takeaway breakfast as I had to depart at 6am, it had so much choice, thank you. Parking to the front of the property with a disc or just use your Blue Badge if you have one. Rooms: Has kettle and assorted drinks, scone and jam, wardrobe, draws, large mirrors and chair. TV with all channels. Walk in shower with all necessary towels, soap in shower and sink and also a lovely dressing gown. Blackout curtains. Nearby activities: Near to lots of activities and places to visit good central point and near motorways. Safety: Double front door, key access to room.
Vicky was v welcoming. Stayed here to start C2C with CycleActive. Secure overnight storage for bikes. Exceptionally clean everywhere. Comfy bed. Extras like jam, scones and biscuits in your room. Great breakfast . Vicky even went the extra mile and bought a stamp & posted a card for me. Fab service . Thanks Vicky. It arrived in time!
Room was booked for us through Cycle Active before we started our coast to coast. We enjoyed our stay here on the Thursday night so much we cancelled a room we had booked for Sunday night and booked in here. The landlady was really helpful, breakfast was perfect. She had a secure place for us to lock our bikes overnight.Rooms: 5/5
My wife and I stayed here on our way to the Lakes. Abbey House is an impeccably clean, welcoming and quite luxurious B&B on a main road and close to Penrith town centre. Andy and Toni make a great team and provided us with a spacious room, beautifully furnished, warm, clean and very comfortable. Andy also helped with a parking disc which proved really useful. He is a great guy! Highly recommended and many thanks.

We stayed for 2 nights at Abbey House. Our room was beautiful, clean and spacious with a huge bed which was so comfy and luxurious. Lovely ensuite, spotless bathroom with nice hot shower. Andy was the perfect host, a lovely guy who was really friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was cooked to order by Andy each morning which was so tasty and delicious. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Abbey House when we visit the North Lakes again. We highly recommend this beautiful B&B to anyone. Thanks Andy & Toni for a great stay and we hope to see you both again soon !
Such a nice place I wish we had stayed more than one night. Room was very nice, super clean, breakfast was great and hospitality was fantastic. If we find ourselves back in Penrith, we'll definitely be staying here again.Rooms: 5/5
A great place to stay when cycling the Coast 2 Coast route with 4* accommodation that truly deserves the great rating, down to the comfort of your stay and Andy & Toni's dedication to making your stay as comfortable as possible. I arrived before my room was ready and was recommended a lovely local beauty spot to visit before check-in and when leaving Andy knew all the local bicycle shops to visit to make sure that my bicycle was ready for the day ahead. I now only wish I had taken some photos of my room and breakfast to support the review, but be reassured that you'll be recommended good places to see and places to dine whilst staying in a very comfortable and quiet B&B for a good night sleep.
Quaint and cosy, very welcoming and simple process for check in/check out. Owners are incredibly warm and willing to do anything to help make your stay more enjoyable. Delicious cooked breakfast available everyday, with cereal and fruit options available too. Tea, coffee, fruit teas and fruit juices available with dairy free milk options. Lots of nice restaurants in walking distance. Parking is outside the property and permit disk is provided, we never had a problem getting a space throughout our 4 day stay.
