Poorly kept real ale (choice usually just one!). Hit and miss on that front to say the least. It's either going off or cloudy or both. Excellent range of malts. Nice staff though! Great locals pub for banter and welcoming to tourists. Good walks nearby and fine views of the fells inc licenced fishing on the Eden. 

A beautiful building in a desirable village in much need of considerate investment on many levels to truly fulfill it's potential as a landmark rural pub.

This is a lovely little inn with friendly, welcoming staff. Only 8 or 9 rooms, clean and comfortable with lovely thick towels. Great food too, breakfast is included and there is a good choice on the dinner and dessert menu.

Lovely atmosphere for family dining and wonderful food. Highly recommend. Will definitely go again
