Great service, the main of salmon from the fix menu was good but a wee bit to much cauliflower. Great price for three courses, stick toffee pudding was very sweet as it should be! Not stuffed after three courses, which is a good indication of a great restaurant.

So disappointed here tonight! This was our annual Christmas family night out. No Christmas atmosphere whatsoever! No decorations, no crackers on table not even turkey on menu. Staff were severely lacking in festive cheer! Would never recommend this to anyone! Had to give 1 star to get on to reviews!! Shocking!!😡

Top notch dining experience - went with a voucher for two main courses. We had the chicken and haggis and also mushroom risotto - both were excellent, cooked fresh to order, chicken melted in mouth and risotto full of flavour, the vegetables were also tasty and cooked just right. We added dessert and again the coffee pana cotta and chocolate ganache were both tremendous and finished off with nice coffee and tablet. Staff and service were excellent and the overall atmosphere in the restaurant was terrific - a Tuesday early evening with not a seat to be had says it all really. Not the cheapest of places but not too expensive either for a quality meal and highly recommended.

Food lovely, atmosphere very relaxed and homely. We were the only people in there (2.30 on Sunday) but it wasn't awkward. Didn't feel rushed either. Was a bit cold when it started to get dark but hard to keep anywhere warm at this time of year! X

Delicious modern Scotch. Service was impeccable yet warm, and the food was near perfect save for a couple of elements that missed their well seasoned point by just a smidge. My dessert sticky toffee pudding was microwaved for too long and as a result, was not only too hot, but also developed a funky, eggy taste; thats my only severe complaint. Also the ice cream was purposefully molten in a pool that the pudding sat on. I really love the warm pudding against​ the cold creamy ice cream, made me shrug. Overall would expect to not find these issues again, and would love to return and confirm this to myself.
