I have lived in California for 18 years, after living 16 years in Europe, every year I like to return to the old continent. One of the cities I love to visit is London. Walking through its streets is the best therapy. There are always novelties and places to discover, but there are classics where I always return: This corner is one of them. They have the largest selection of teas and their staff is very professional, they inform you of their qualities in a friendly way. On the first floor of the store there is a beautiful tea room. But they closed it because of covid and so far they haven't opened it. It is really fine, I hope that on my next trip it will be available. It is a classic. I highly recommend this place for a lovely pause in London.
We had an amazing experience! Billy helped us understand the world of teas. The different types, flavors, and uses. Being from The US and not ever drinking a quality Tea! We are truly glad we stopped by and Billy took the utmost care of us, with patience. He explained what temperatures, time and preparation for each of the tea flavors we purchased, even if we could sweeten or not the teas. He gave us a slight breakdown of the science of teas. The only thing I missed was taking more pictures and a a picture with Billy! Thank you!!!!
The history and interior design was great but overly expensive, and kinda only for tourists. Maybe the quality of teas are good but I would avoid. The security was friendly and the location is great.
It is a pure pleasure every time to explore the wide range of teas in the TWG shop. Being my absolute favourite tea myself, I can linger here forever. The shop is very tastefully decorated and you can try all the teas. The prices for the tea are fair, sometimes cheaper than over the internet due to direct sales. I like buying gifts here for myself and for friends and relatives.
Over 1200 variety of tea in this store. I will be here for a few days!!! I had a great time going through their offerings. Christmas specials, amazing designs of the packagings and very well informed staff help make it a great experience for any visitor.
One of the coolest tea shops I've ever been to and a fantastic place to purchase loose leaf tea. There are tons of varieties and the staff are extremely knowledgeable. Picked up a few boxes before heading back to Chicago!
I couldn't see any Yorkshire Tea, which is pretty much the only tea I drink, but they still had a ridiculously large amount of tea. To be honest, the wife is the "tea connoisseur" in our house and she seemed to like the place. She seemed to take a shine to the decorative tins they sell, which my wallet wasn't too keen on.
Very nice store but not helpful employees. Unfortunate as they have such a nice store.
This place is pretty good. The atmosphere of this place is quite nice. It is very spacious. The tea for sale on the lower floor is lined up and set up in a really cool way. The upstairs is a nice place as well, where you can have a meal with tea. You may have to wait a little before you sit, but they have a nice museum to look at while you wait. Me and my family went their and got three tea pots. One of their teas was pretty bland but the others were really good. When you order, you really aren’t sure which tea will be really good or just bland. Their desserts are also really nice. There is also tea sold downstairs but it is a bit overpriced for the size it is sold at. But overall it’s a nice place to visit if you are in London. Probably wouldn’t recommend to buy the tea sold in packages downstairs but instead just have it made for you in the upstairs dining area so you can try.
Absolute scammers of a tea shop - misleading on pricing for loose leaf tea they only show the cost of 50g which you won't realise if purchasing 100/200g etc and same when at point of sale also no refunds/exchanges accepted for loose leaf tea which is what they are mainly for - a tea shop correct?!!! and this refund policy is not told to you at the time either at point of sale. NOT ESTABLISHED IN 1800'S AS ADVERTISED BUT 2008. This company is disguising to be something better than it is. Staff know they are working in a fraudulent store including the manager- not helpful for customer service support and the air just is wrong in there. Will never go in again.
