Stunning selection of teas! Very beautiful environment with lots of light! The Parisian Afternoon Tea was smoothly balanced and the selection of cakes exquisite Also a perfect source for high quality tea-related gifts teas, pots, cups etc. Finally, the staff was genuinely polite and helpful
Teas Service Great selection of teas! It’s a bit overwhelming, but the service is great and they’ll help you with your choice. Desserts are very good as well. And they seem to have very interesting things for lunch, with tea-infused flavors. We need to go back for lunch some time!
Had the Parisian Afternoon Tea and it was very nice but not the best I've ever had. The scones were delicious and warm, and the jam was very tasty, though the bao buns were OK more like brioche than bao if I'm honest. I had the vegetarian option which was a good equivalent to the meat option, though it would have been nice to see the vegetarian option on the menu so I knew what I was getting in advance. My main criticism is that the lift was out of order, rendering the loos and indoor seating inaccessible to those with mobility issues. The selection of teas was excellent and both teas I tried were very tasty. They also had soy and almond milk as well as cow's milk which was good. I thought the decision to have incense burning in a place where tea something that focuses so much on aromatics was an odd one. All in all, I enjoyed myself and had a good day out, but I probably wouldn't go again.
I have lived in London my entire life and visit the city centre every weekend and this has to be the best place to visit in the whole city! Absolutely beautiful decor, food, staff and tea selection. Paradise in a tea pot! Staff are connoisseurs and are happy to talk about tea. Feels like a celebrity 5 star experience every time I visit. Thank you for your excellent customer service..
Amazing tea INFUSED desserts. Frankly the best creme brulee I've ever had, really a tease on the taste buds. The dark chocolate mousse with Black Tea magic encased with 24k gold is such a decadent treat as well. However, teas were a bit of a disappointment. Although the menu is extensive, the tea was okay. Not bad not good. The jasmine tea I ordered tasted just like water, it was pretty weird.
Slow service, nice decor, good location. I know everyone has different taste so food review will sometimes be quite subjective. However, I had to say the savoury and dessert options at this Tea House are on the strange side. Neither do my taste buds nor my family’s find the pastry delicious. We had a Noel afternoon tea menu. I can’t remember the full menu but one of them was a savoury cannoli made from tea leaves which was absolutely tasteless. I meant, literally no salt nor flavour. It tasted like chewing tea leaves with a savoury cake - super weird. The foie gras tasted like you’re eating a wet duck… we all left that dish…. All and all, I don’t recommend unless you just want to try this out because it’s a historical brand name.
Absolute gem of a place. The tea shop downstairs is fine, but the restaurant really works hard for you. Food is delicious and uniquely tea infused. Definitely worth it. Didn't get a chance to try afternoon tea, so we'll have to go back. Pretty reasonable prices, but it's Covent Garden.
Amazing tea salon. Incredible selection of teas and the staff can advise you if you wonder what to get. There are also tea-based cocktails and food - everything is delicious. The cakes and sweets are one of a kind in London. Definitely a must-go!
There is like thousands of tea choice for the afternoon tea, I got the French Afternoon Tea flavour and it came out blue!! I went for the Halloween afternoon tea, loved it. The scones were chocolate flavoured so I feel like they could’ve done with some more savoury somewhere.
The service and tea is definitely 5 stars. We kindly asked the waiter to recommend us the tea since the list is HUGE. After having a little “quiz” of some sort where he asked about our favourite type white green red blue black and what we normally drink, he proceeded with recommending marco polo green and another blue tea for my friends which we both absolutely love. Onto the afternoon tea, there are some really mixed/good selections. Proportion wise it is definitely enough, but there are some really interested ones. For the first round you have done savoury one. i remember the sushi the most since it is the most interesting one, similar to gastronomy. The jelly are made of soy sauce and wrapped around the sushi rice with prawn i think? It is definitely innovative but could a bit too salty because of the soy sauce: whilst i absolutely love the desert, i just couldn’t seems to love the savoury ones other than that soy sauce one and sandwich. HOWEVER, i would still 100% recommend my friends to go since they are nice just indescribable to me
