True awesome hotel not a 3 star more like a 5 food is to die for rooms well you need to visit to really appreciated. Bar well stock real ales and the surroundings jaw dropping.

Food was lovely and surroundings really pleasant. Didn't give it 4 stars because we wanted to sit in the main dining area and not in the separate wing which lacks atmosphere. Cant fault it otherwise though.

Excellent throughout. Could not fault it.
Great food, well trained staff, fabulous room with lots of extras. Nespresso machine, bathrobes, fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. Feather duvet and pillows. Very comfortable bed.
Wellies and brollies to use, dog treats, towel and blanket to use for dog, plenty of guides, maps, walks to help with the area.
Nothing was too much trouble.

I have been staying here on and of for over 10 years now. I travel extensively for business and this hotel remains a firm favourite and a welcome break from the usual large chain hotels. Totally faultless  in every aspect

This charming hotel is full of character and comforts, coupled with attentive and courteous staff we couldn't have asked for more. Nestled in a beautiful setting, filled with tranquility and plenty of birdsong we had a lovely weekend and would definately return. The locals were polite and friendly making us feel so welcome in the beautiful village of clearwell. Thank you so much to all who made this a memorable stay.
