We stayed in December with our two daughters, two dogs and grandparents. The rooms were all around a central courtyard and were very warm and cosy. There were great walks around the grounds which meant we didn't have to travel back out to walk the dogs. The rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. Our family room had a jacuzzi bath as well as a shower. Our eight year old loved it! There was no noise since there was no corridor and the double glazing kept road noise away. In short, from the accommodation to the breakfast, Dark Barn Lodge was faultless. This is the easiest recommendation ever!

Quiet, of the main apartments, in a prime location for getting about, friendly staff, good breakfast, rooms were clean, but bed was a little soft for me, still slept soundly, a very nice stay

This is a beautiful place to stay, the accommodation is amazing and the owners and staff are friendly. Me and my partner was well impressed. Would definitely recommend The Dark Barn Lodge to anyone that what's a relaxing calm experience.

A nice place with large grounds. The service is good and at a reasonable price. Good for events in Gloucester and travel to either Cotswold or Forest of Dean

Lovely setting. Peaceful and relaxing. Host who met us was helpful and friendly. Accommodation is excellent. Excellent value for money.
