Had a fantastic time here on a sole hire basis with friends. Very clean, well equipped, loads of space and beautiful location. Watching a kingfisher hunting in the pond right behind the house was a particular pleasure. Very close (walkable, even with little ones) to Slimbridge waterfowl centre.

What a delightful place. I don't know quite why there is such a horrid review further down but that certainly wasn't my experience with my sole hire. We hired the entire lodge for three days for a family get together. Charmaine was charming and very welcoming. The facilities were beautifully clean, everything was provided to ensure we could keep them clean and the cooked breakfast that we ordered for one of the mornings was delicious. We were left to make ourselves at home with Charmaine popping in to make sure we had everything we needed. There was certainly no issues over bringing our own wine (although when we ran out for white, it was a relief to find be able to buy some from the premises!) and as for the acoustics of the dining area, it wasn't anything we noticed for a problem. We had a lovely time and have already reserved a booking for later in the year. Thank you Charmaine and staff for such a superb place.

Good food. A bit more tradition would be appreciated. Mostly very basic. For the price not a value.

Pool table and games room, 2 mins from the canal, cosy beds, slightly dribbly showers, but excellent cooking facilities and spaces to park and relax.

As a Ranger Guide group, we have stayed in many youth hostels in the UK and across the world. The standard of cleanliness, kitchen equipment and furnishings at Wild Goose Lodge are far higher than any I have come across before and the dorm got a huge 'wow' from the girls when they first saw it! Charmaine and her team were really helpful and accommodated the needs of our group very well. A brilliant venue for individuals, families or groups.
