Excellent service. Lovely clean hotel. Dog friendly. Welcoming staff, very obliging when I forgot my toothpaste and when requesting a later checkout time. Breakfast was as expected. All the usual food items. Nicely cooked. Two min walk to bus into Gloucester Quays / city. Very near to start of Gloucester 20mile race, which is why I booked it! Two lovely pub restaurants near by Bumblebee dog friendly on site and Rose Tree Farm 5 mins away - carvery and desserts to die for!

Nice place. Typical fair for a Holiday Inn Express. Rooms are what you would expect and clean and tidy. They haven't blocked use of HDMI connections to the TV so I could connect my laptop up as well. Nice.

Stayed here on 27th March with my wife. I was very impressed with the room and the facilities. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the breakfast buffet, though very nice, kept running out of bacon and sausages, leaving several guests, my wife and I included, quite frustrated. By the time the buffet was replenished, we had finished eating what was available. Shame really, as I would have given 5 stars.

Highly recommended, nice warm clean rooms. Breakfast fresh and cleanly served. Nice pub next door for evening meal. Hotel is well kept, Staff are exceptional, professional and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stsy

What I like about Holiday Inns is you know what to expect. The rooms are basic, but almost always clean and have everything you need for an overnight stay. The breakfast, which is included in an already low price, is similar - basic but more than adequate. What I'd say sets the chain above most is the staff. Whenever I walk into a Holiday Inn I know I can expect a warm welcome and a ready smile. Gloucester South was no different - well done Kayley and Alice(?) On the desk last night
