Hosts David and Carol made us extremely welcome in this lovely historic lodge, set in acres of beautiful grounds right in the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside. Can't wait to go back again soon!

Just a few miles west of Gloucester, this Bed and Breakfast is perfect for a quiet break. It's well off the main road, so you won't get any noise except the birds! Very friendly hosts with good knowledge of the area, including some fantastic places to eat. The lodge has many woodland trails to explore, and is within easy reach of the Forest of Dean, and makes an ideal basecamp for longer day-trips to South Wales and the Brecon Beacons. Five stars!

very beautiful setting in its own forest, carole and david were extremly helpful, ferrying us around a number of times (we had no car) to the hills and back into gloucester - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in their smallest room (others were full) which was a little small but bed was more than big enough. So very nice indeed - and great service. Really very kind. thank you.
