We arrived at this hotel today and as soon as we walked in the staff had a negative attitude. We booked in advance and paid for the meal deal that they offer, however when we ordered they had limited options. I don't know if this was because the hotel could be bothered to offer the whole menu or they were genuinely out of stock of these items. Food wasn't great and was just about warm. Having the children with us we thought it would have been easier to eat at the hotel at a reasonable time but the kids didn't even fancy eating. The operation of the structure of running the hotel was just the assistant manager and 1 Cook to try work reception the bar and kitchen. I have worked in the hospitality industry for many years and never encountered such a bad experience. We had to leave without eating and having to go to another restaurant to get some dinner. The assistant manager should have been honest when we arrived and made an executive decision and closed the kitchen and just concentrated on just keeping the guests happy. We was also told at the bar when trying to order that we couldn't be served as they were just to busy to serve at the bar. We have stayed in a numerous amount of travelodge hotels and never witnessed such a shambles as this. Staff were flustered and I felt like they didn't want to be there. I feel like they might need more support or training.
Such an amazing room. It was nice and warm the moment we walked in which is perfect during these cold times. You could help your self to more tea/coffee which was nice. The beds where very comfortable to sleep on as well.Rooms: 5/5
Rooms were usual Travelodge style but all areas were clean. Reception manned everytime we needed. Breakfast was lovely, hot in temperature and a good selection. Reception staff were good but a special mention to Sylvie who was outstanding, welcoming, happy and friendly and really helpful in the cafe for breakfast. Thank you.Rooms: 4/5
Clean room. Viewing the car park. Just a base for our trip. Definitely need aircon when warmer as other have said. Easy to find. 1 road from main high street. Nice to have extra tea coffee milk in reception to help to when needed.Rooms: 4/5
Overall service was good. Room also had all essentials like kettle and stuff. The only problem was that there were no locks or bolts inside the bathroom/toilet. I felt very uncomfortable because of this. I was not able to lock the toilet from inside. Every time I went to the toilet I had to put a sticker on the door or let other family members know that I am going which is embarrassing.
Wouldn’t touch the place again!! We stayed for 1 night for a concert at Wembley. Reception was closed more than it was open , when we went we had to shout and wait. We wanted early check in at 12 and our rooms weren’t ready at 2pm so we’re moved from the 1st floor to the 4th floor which wasn’t much of a problem. The rooms were adequate, bathroom could do with a good clean but had a good sleep. Came to breakfast well what can I say? RUBBISH !! Hardly anything left what was left was cold at 10.30 baring in mind breakfast is until 11am and should be stocked until 11am!! £8.99 is not cheap. 2 ladies on clearing plates as noisily as possible throwing plates , cups and cutlery into a bowl but miserable with it , very rude , one lady said something to her about the noise but there was no apology she just looked at her and went into the kitchen . Wish I’d have taken a photo of the advertised breakfast with a lovely fresh cooked meal and a bowl of fresh fruit and a lovely mug of cappuccino but they didn’t even have enough teabags for me to have a second cup. They were gracious enough to give us a refund but we left hungry and had a long journey. If you do find yourself unfortunate to stay here don’t book breakfast, if you walk to the end of the road there is a lovely little cafe that do a freshly cooked to order breakfast.
Lovely clean room. First class staff, Everyone so friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended Rooms: 5/5
Loved the place, me & my sister came over to go to my uncles funeral, so booked into the travelodge, can not fault the place, excellent rooms excellent staff, the unlimited breakfast in the morning excellent start to the day, if I need to hone over to Watford I know where I'll be booking into.Rooms: 5/5
Do not stay in Room 103. It must be above the laundry or something but the entire room VIBRATES. I slept for around 30 minutes. It was awful. Otherwise the rooms are clean and it’s your standard travelodge experience.
My Nan had booked the hotel for all of us so two individual rooms . We got to the reception and the lady was not rude but just not friendly . She was very confusing and not understanding it was a bit of a hassle I’m yet to review the rooms . We also entered the bar and cafe and all the staff were gathered being very loud and talking about blood tests wasn’t very nice . Overall I wouldn’t give them staff any special comments .
