Was a bit concerned after reading a few reviews.nWe had a very pleasant 2 nights.nBed was very comfortable. Room was clean.nPub next door was nice had a good meal. Easy access to London by rail. Station across the road.nStaff very friendly
My granddaughter turned up at 8pm to check in with her 6week old baby. Unfortunately she had booked for the previous night in error. She was told there was one room left and the price would be £137. What kind of world are we living in where a 19yr old girl and her 6week old baby are not treated with kindness and compassion and allowed to use the money she had paid as part payment on the room she needed. She did not have the money so she had to leave. She had just had the baby when she booked and was getting used to her new routine so made a mistake in her booking and rather than be treated with understanding and kindness she was treated very badly and left in the dark very upset.
I got the best service from Kelly at Travelodge! She was honestly so thoughtful- lent me her own umbrella on a rainy day so I could go to my interview, and even wished me good luck. After we’d already checked out, she still helped us store our luggage. It really made me feel at home. Service like this is rare! A huge thanks to Kelly!
The rooms are filthy and when I pointed it out to staff when I complained the women on reception said we don’t clean there. The bed was covered in mold. She said if I don’t like it check out but no refund. I did change rooms only as it was after 7pm. You get what you pay for. £46 for a moldy bed.
Only issue is the doors at the entrance slams. About 5 people who were waiting outside complained as well. Nice to everything else
