Stylish hotel in excellent location. Perfect venue for a meeting or a special occasion like a marriage. Has a small but adequate gym in basement, nice bar and a decent menu in the bar and restaurant. Rooms are of good quality but varies between older and newer wings. Good breakfast with a omelette station among other things.

Very nice hotel. Old style but recently renovated and very good equipped rooms. Could still smell fresh paint. Breakfast is also wonderfull. Staff very pleasant helpfull by showing us the way to the room which was quite complicated. No elevator in that particular part of the Hotel.

Live locally in Weighbridge and like to go Oatlands Park for coffee, lunch and Sunday carvery during weekends. Staffs are always nice and polite. Yesterday afternoon went with husband for a coffee while booking flights on laptop. Sat there for three hours (3 PM to 6 PM) and been approached by a lady who later claims she is not the manager but works with the manager, asked us: how long have you been staying here? How much you have spent here? You cannot stay here for whole day just paying for a glass of water. Me and my husband are so shocked as for so many times been in this hotel we are never asked to leave because we stayed there more than two hours. And what make us feel unpleasant is how can they judge customer by how much money they spend? And while there were other guest there were not been questioned by this lady, and this lady also asked 'why i haven't seen you been here?', i feel been treated differently because i am not white. I will never go to this place again!

Took my dad here who has a terminal illness. This will have been he's last Christmas and i wanted to make it a bit special. Big mistake! We were barley greeted by a slovenly waiter who grunted at us and pointed to where we were to sit. No frills greeting, we took our own coats off and hung them over the chair (where they remained for the rest of our stay) and then were left to sit there and wonder what to do with ourselves. No drinks offered and no wine menu, so we just sat and waited. My dad is quite obviously very unwell and incredibly frail, he struggled to get he's coat off while my head was turned. When i looked back at him and saw he's face twisted up in pain i helped him to take the coat off, all the while the waiter just watched on with a look of annoyance on he's face. No kind of introduction from the waiter as to what was on the menu or where the different courses were laid out ,It was a buffet style Christmas dinner. I noticed everyone else had bread rolls and butter bought to them by their waiters, but we hadn't been offered any. I had to get up and ask someone to bring us some water and a wine menu after about ten minutes. Eventually our waiter came over and dad order his favorite bottle of wine. About fifteen minutes or so later it arrived, plonked down on the table and left there unopened. I had to open it myself, thankfully it was a screw top. The wine dad ordered was red, it was freezing cold. The food was across the room laid out as starters, mains and desert. No one explained the procedure or the lay out. So we decided we should just get up and help ourselves and work it out when we got there. Went to get dad a first course... no plates. I took up a dinner plate from the main's section, and was told off! The food wasn't bad but no better than your local carvery on a Sunday. I can't remember what we paid in the end with the wine, but i'm pretty sure it was well over £200 for two people. I appreciate it's Christmas and expect to pay more and i would of been happy with that if the service and atmosphere wasn't so abysmal. We were seated on the main drag through in the dinning hall, which was manic. We had a constant stream of people walking and rushing past us. The waiting staff, who i think were from a temp agency were totally stressed out rushing up and down flustered and unhappy. They spoke very little English, which is difficult when you are trying to ask for specific drinks or condiments. Normally not a problem but all these little things together was just such a huge let down on a special occasion. We tried to order coffee three times, but it never arrived and dad had had enough by this time so we gave up on that idea. The atmosphere was pretty grim as well. I chose this place purely because they had a "live jazz band" playing and my dad loves jazz. I don't know good jazz from bad so i can't comment on that. Would have been better if they didn't have Christmas music playing in the back ground though. All in all a huge let down for my dads last Christmas. My heart sank when the bottle of wine he had been waiting months to drink through all he's treatment, was just slammed down in front of him without even a smile or a glance from the waiter as he rushed past. Pretty disgusting and disrespectful behavior! Also, upon entry to the hotel reception area despite been acknowledge by staff, we were left to wonder around trying to work out where we were supposed to go to find the dinner hall. I wouldn't want anyone to have such a let down on Christmas day when they are trying enjoy the time with their family. I hope that some how somewhere along the lines something went wrong and it's not normally like that, but i definitely won't be giving the place a second try. If it wasn't for my dads circumstances i would have made a complaint, but in the interest of trying to lift he's spirits i decided to let it go.
