Great hotel! Easy access. Lots of free parking. Walking distance to most attractions. Clean tidy room. Friendly staff.nBreakfast was great I usually avoid Travelodge breakfasts as have had some shocking ones! food was all hot and really tasty. Only complaint as all travelodges is the orange/apple juice mix. It tastes terrible! Why can’t we just have apple OR orange juice?nNice selection of drinks at the bar.nWill be returning.
I've stayed in many Travelodges with for business and leisure. This one is perhaps the most modern one I have stayed at without any of the annoyances found at some: large, easily accessible car park with lots of space; key cards some still have the old style keys; modern, very tidy sitting/bar area that is also used for breakfast; friendly staff that are available at all times; very comfortable bed as always; modern rooms without any damage i.e. to carpet or walls. This was essentially a 3+ star experience on the facilities alone. Once all hotels are upgrade to this level, Travelodge should get its 3 star rating.nnThe location is outstanding; upon leaving the door, you're essentially in the town centre.nnThere's a railway very close to the hotel but whilst we did see trains even quite late, they didn't disturb us when in the room.
I'm just getting back to travelling since my stroke so I always stay at the local Travelodge either on the first day or the last. After doing a round Robin I arrived just after 3pm, nice timing. Katie was on reception desk and found my booking. Within minutes later I was escorted to my room on the ground floor. Anyone who uses Travelodge will know that the rooms are spotless and I liked the size of the bed . My only concern was that the toilets were not ideal for me as I can't get in and out of the bath unaided. Then we came back to the reception and I was given a coffee on the house. And before you can say thanks Katie was back with another room with shower facilities and I was touched. This service was one team working as one unit and spending 55 years serving people all over the world . I'm glad that I choose Stirling City Centre Travelodge to stay. A little later I came down for dinner and Katie was still working so I found a corner which I could get out of the wheelchair and just relaxed and take everything in. I had the Scampi with tartar sauce. It's been a while since I was looked after so professionally with Katie and Finn floating around the dinning room with a flair that you could put music to. My main meal was the Chicken with coleslaw and sweetcorn and as I looked down at my place I asked Finn if he could cut the chicken and sweetcorn and within minutes he brought me my dinner. The technique of making my dinner was similar was done by some one who wanted to please his clientele. I thought about a dessert and found my dessert and work of art .
I booked this ten minutes before I walked in the door.nThe staff were friendly, the room was clean and the bed comfortable.nI wasn't going to have breakfast but decided to after I saw it laid out. It was good and the bacon cooked properly. No white stuff!!nHave booked again for February.
It's a budget hotel perfect for a trip into city center Stirling, breakfast was not great as I prefer a cooked breakfast so not a lot of choices bacon was hard and scrambled eggs were overcooked due to being kept too long on a hot tray. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was perfect for our needs. Would stay again but eat out to be honest.
