Great location! Warm , quiet and cozy rooms! Complimentary Parking is first come first serve, ~15 spaces total so definitely recommend arriving early to snag a spot. Otherwise, you will have to pay at a nearby lot. No wifi for guests, no biggie if you have an international data plan if you’re from out of country. Staff was friendly but seemed new to the area because they didn’t have any restaurant recommendations - a quick google search solved that though.
We can't really comment on the rooms as we only went for a meal at the Cronies restaurant, which is part of this establishment. We had never been and found the table we were sat at really crammed into a corner; every table seemed close together. It was odd. Waiters were nice enough, though most walked off mid-sentence which was really weird as well. I loves the mushrooms and spinach starter; very wholesome and I now wish I had ordered two, because the Chef's seaboard I ordered was sad. It was basically fish and chips. Mediocre chips, a battered and fried piece of haddock, and a basked with five breaded and deep friend prawns/scampi in it. Disappointing for £21! Greasy. My husband's beef burrito was the same kind of disappointing. Chewy beef and they couldn't even fold it... Also, they out the chips onto the open tortilla wrap. Just not worth it.
Horrible hotel. Dirty carpets, held together with duck tape. Hard bed, inadequate bathroom. The shower is over the bath, very slippery and water temperature either icy or boiling. No plug in washbasin. There was a screw sticking out of the bath panel. I didn't shower here after my partner's awful experience. Whole place needs a total refurb, it was like stepping back 30 years. It's a total insult to be charged so much for such a dreadful experience. Breakfast is plentiful and fine for people who like sliced bread and tinned fruit. On the positive side, excellent location for the centre of Stirling.
Hotel located downtown but very quiet. The place is a bit worn out in certain areas of the hotel. Nice room in the remodelled section 5th floor. We had dinner and breakfast there. The food for dinner was good but the breakfast was not fantastic despite the variety of choices. Still good value for money.
We were there as a large group, and while the rooms were comfortable, they were rather dated. The dining experience was excellent, however, and the staff were helpful and friendly and managed to get us all fed at breakfast and dinner times to allow us to attend the events we were there for. My room, on the 2nd floor, was accessible friendly and not too far from the lift, which was good. It could have done with electrical sockets, nearer the bedside to allow phone charging etc.
