It’s a typical Travelodge-the rooms are comfortable and clean but I found the service a bit odd. Had the door cards almost thrown at me across the counter and told to go through the door and up the stairs...at which point, the guy disappeared into his little room. Tried to swipe pass to get to the main hotel but it didn’t work. Back to reception and the guy appeared again. Told him the pass didn’t work. His response was the door was broken. I was a bit confused that he hadn’t mentioned it or opened it for us...instead let me struggle to the door with 3 small suitcases and then I had to go back again. I had my parents with me who are both in their 80’s...no offer of help from the guy and no lift available. He propped the door open for the rest of the night...so not great security either. Personally I feel he could have shut the door to keep the security and kept an eye out to open it for people when they came in. Maybe I expect too much for a budget hotel but security would be high on my list of priorities to be honest.

Minimal facilities. Sit on the bed to watch TV to find a shelf for your cup, or place it on the floor sitting on a hard plastic chair. Pity for older people and/or disabled. In our room the toilet was set too low,below advised heights. Repositioning toilet holderw would also allow one to sit straight on low pan and not side on .No bath mat so shower spill meant use of hand towel. Staff are pleasant and helpful but cannot change room facilities. Two arm chairs or upholstered bucket seats with coffee table would enhance comfort.
