A lovely place clean and well presented. Only down side if you use the gym early in the morning the cardio room is freezing and machines need rebalancing, wobble when you use them!!
Comfortable overnight accommodations but the Staff members Yvonne and Restaurant Manager Atilla were fantastic and made us feel very welcome during our stay. They were both very professional, attentive and friendly which added to the enjoyment of our stay. They are an absolute credit to Mercure Hotels and deserve a special mention and an extra star. Thank you!
Joined the Gym here the facilities are good the staff are very welcoming and helpful, the pool is great for young and older people. The hotel appears to be a welcoming and has plenty of areas to relax. The only thing that could be imprived is the temperature in the changing room as the air con appears to be on at a chilly temperature when it should be warmer other than this the gym and pool area is really good. Plenty of parking and close to town centre and easily assessable for the M54.
Great location. Rooms are a decent size and usually quite clean. Friendly and personable staff. Good size gym with everything you need. Sauna, steam room, pool are great when they are not broken. Food is very low quality and extremely expensive. Breakfast is okay. Excellent loyalty program through Radisson.
Modern vibes all throughout building. Service was great and room was clean. I'll need to try the spa and gym next time I'm here! One thing to note is my request for a wake up alarm at 0630 wasn't met. It was fine, because I had my own alarm, but I did request this service too.
Disappointing that the pool was closed because "it was too cold". I'd like to make that decision myself. They would otherwise be quite good... Reception staff member didn't want to accept that I had already paid for my room. Breakfast was good and staff working in the morning were very friendly. Room was nice, comfy bed. Disappointing lack of a bath.
It's a Mercure now not a Park Inn. I checked in got given a room on the 4th floor. Lift not working do got moved to a 1st floor room. Mold all around the window frame and it smelled of cigarettes. Got moved again to another 1st floor room. Still mold around the window frame and on the curtains. Bed was old and the table was very wobbly. Breakfast was OK.
Well positioned, easy walking into the shopping centre and town parks. The hotel appeared clean and tidy however on arrival to our room we discovered an old disposable razor in the shower. On the second night off our stay we were only left one set of towels. This was rectified by the reception staff as housekeeping had closed for the day ! The food was of a very high standard BUT the breakfasts were not replaced as they ran out and and we found that once you had started to collect a breakfast which was in covered containers only to discover empty ones the replacement took some time and the rest of the meal was getting cold. The bar prices were well above the norm.
Decided to stay here to break journey on my way to Wales. It is conveniently close to the motorway, check-in and out was a breeze and the beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately they didn't have a fridge in the room but they kindly kept a few items I had in their kitchen fridge. A big plus point for me was that their WiFi was incredibly fast!!
I went to a jobs convention here and the room used was spacious enough and has a stage for other events. The bar has lots of tables, mostly with window views of the car park and nearby roads. The staff seemed attentive and friendly and even though I didn't see the hotel rooms I got the impression they'd be perfectly fine from the decor of the ground floor.
