Spacious, clean, new.nStaff is friendly and Lynn is The Woman! Thanks for the hospitality, Lynn. You’ve got a heart.nStayed in room 241.nMore than quiet.nWasn’t tricky to find but could be for some.nGreat stay in general. Reasonable price.
Clean, safe, comfortable. What more can you want?nThe location is a bit awkward. Car parking is either in the shopping precinct next door or if like me you have a high vehicle you have to park on opposite side of dual carriageway in a dingey Waitrose car park and walk 150m under the subway past the winosnAside of this, the hotel is relatively quiet and service seems friendly enough.
First of all my windows wouldn't shut I tried to shut them as the window cleaner was doing my window waters was coming in it squirted me in the face with dirty water... Not HappynThen about 7am started building work next door banging. I was there for a relaxing £ 90 down the drain... Then at 10am got the builders knocking the door asking to come in as I was getting ready to go in shower this is not ok....
I checked in on 25.07.24. Was given a room which had a strong smell, staff were able to change the room as I was informed the windows are being resealed and the smell is the glue.nI suffer with sleep apnoa and was looking for to waking up naturally. This did not happen my door was being knocked at 9am and 4 times after, a male was knocking if I can open the door so he can change the lock I can hear electrical tools all morning, drills. If I was informed this was happening I would of not booked. Not the best way to start the day. Have informed staff and spoke to Tomaz who apologised as should of been notified of the work will be speaking to the male workers about knocking and asking to open the door to change the locks. The bed on the left has a broken spring. I always stay at Travelodge and was not offered even a gesture of good will for this experience. This is not the place to be relaxed currently
Did the job. Cheap and cheerful. Few undesirables in the hotel smearing jam on the wall but at this price point it's expected. Parking is a bit of a pain, located centrally. Loads of coffee shops and breakfast places super close for the morning.
