Visiting family in the area, booked 2 nights with my dog. Room was adequate enough, clean, basic, carpet was a little stained but it was a dog friendly room ‍ bound to be mishaps & they're cleaned to a decent standard.nThe location, right on the main dual carriageway but this time my room faced the pay & display car park so was much quieter.nNo air conditioning but a fan provided & they'd opened the window & kept curtains closed to try & keep room cool it was a rare mega hot weekend so beyond their control.nThe staff we interacted with were so lovely & my dog made friends with a couple of them.nI would definitely stay again with my dog as it was a pleasant experience overall
Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean room. Cheap price for good quality. Prepare to pay for parking
We were actually advised against staying at this Travelodge...glad we didn't listen to the advice!nPerfectly located; decently priced; clean, secure and welcoming.nNoisy and warmish as per many other reviews, but the above pro's far outweigh the cons.nWould make use of this hotel again in the future.
Do not stay here! The heat in the rooms is unbelievable, I have just had the misfortune of having to stay here for work. The temperature outside was 17 degrees . . . In the rooms it was 31.5!! I was due to stay for two days and booked an early train home so I didn't have to endure another night, the pitiful fan that they supply was no help either. No only this but the staff are rude and clearly hate thier jobs.nNothing works in the room, not even the hand cleaner would operate properly.nThere are 3 plug sockets to the whole room and they are spaced miles apart . . . one of which must occupy the fan that does nothing at all.nYou couldn't pay me to stay in the dump again!! Avoid at all cost!nnWho are these misguided people putting 5/5?? . . . Clearly deluded!
Ok, so you get what you pay for. The room is ok, the bed is really nice, could have done with a better table to work from, the window could open more for air flow although the road noise is a bit much. The breakfast - not the best could have huge improvement, sausage was hard and dry, no bacon or mushrooms. However, the saving grace are the staff, they were very nice, polite and helpful at all times, even when they were being harassed by guest's due to poor breakfast.
