Our hotel is located just one minute from Southend Airport and Southend Airport Train Station making it exceptionally accessible for Southend and the surrounding areas. London is also just 40 minutes away.

We have been open since in 2012 and boast 129 modern and soundproofed guest rooms, meeting and event facilities for up to 140 people and WiFi throughout.

Our 1935 rooftop Restaurant and Bar boasts exciting views of the airport and surrounding Essex countryside, as well as delicious British cuisine with a contemporary twist.

Great staff at this Hotel. I haven't dealt with other members of staff. But the staff on reception are fantastic. They really are an asset. Special mention to Rob perhaps gone a bit early on the Christmas tree but redeemed himself with a great rendition of George Michael's last Christmas .nnSo note to the management look after these people they represent your business superbly.
Finding the hotel was a little difficult, there are signs saying that you cannot stop on the road that leads to the hotel. The front desk were very helpful and reassured us that we just needed to proceed to the barrier and take a ticket which would be validated at the front desk.nnCheck in was nice and easy. The room was great, especially after staying in a Premier Inn the night prior. The downside is that parking has to be paid for but this seems to happen at many Holiday Inn locations.nnThe room was comfortable but the curtains were missing many hooks so the light came in very early in the morning. Also, the noise from the corridor was quite pronounced at times as the room was close to the lift.nnBreakfast was good with many options to suit everyone. We didn’t see any planes unfortunately but we will be back so fingers crossed we see some in the future.
I stayed here with my little family over the weekend and it was AMAZING. This hotel is absolutely 4* and exudes luxury. We stayed in the superior room which was massive and perfect if you have a little one with you too. The bed was king size so big enough, families can always bring their own travel cot for their little one if need be. We had a beautiful view of the airport and would watch the aeroplanes land which was lovely. In the room they gave us robes,slippers, complimentary water and chocolate! This was all in addition to the teas and coffee etc. We loved it. It also had a mini fridge which was handy too. The only slight critique was that it was a tiny bit dusty by the lamps near the bedside and over the bed. I wiped this off so not a big deal. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was solid, I had probably the best tasting bagel I have had in my life no exaggeration. It was also nice that its near a retail outlet and a McDonald's on the doorstep. Everything we needed was there and it was so convenient. We will definitely be back again. I highly recommend this hotel.
We had our twilight wedding here at the weekend and what a truly wonderful experience it was!nNothing was too much trouble, everyone was so helpful and accommodating, Hayley, Suzanna, Simon, all the Holiday Inn team were absolutely brilliant, and because of them we were able to have the wedding we'd always dreamed of!nThe rooms were absolutely brilliant, food was incredible, and all our guests have told us what an amazing time they had.nnThank you all again, we can't wait to visit again soon ^_^
Had our wedding here, ideally located for guests who have to travel and require accommodation.nStaff are very experienced in holding weddings and their attention to detail is fantastic.nThe rooms are modern and contemporary, the food was lovely, and there's a rooftop restaurant which is fantastic.
