Record/ timeline: - I picked up the vehicle on 06/05/2023. - My cousin and I noticed the tyres were almost bald. The dealer agreed to pay for new ones. - I went to Kwik Fit on 10/05/2023 as I suspect I have a slow puncture. I planned to purchase new tyres, have them installed and send the invoice to the dealership to reimburse me as we agreed. - Kwik Fit informed me that there’s 2 cracked alloys one of them is also dented and a repaired rim leaking the cause of my deflating tyre. - Kwik Fit noted that the car should have failed on MOT for the leaking repaired rim and 2 cracks. - They highlighted the cracks have been powder coated to conceal the cracks. - The dealership agreed to sort the issue on 11/05/2023 then retracted the agreed upon resolution on 12/05/2023. He has then said he will only pay for two new tyres and not the cracked alloys plus damaged and unrepairable alloys the car came with. New tyres can not be placed on damaged alloys and it does not rectify the fact the car was sold not fit for purpose with recorded attempts to conceal the damage. - I attempted to make the resolution costs as cheap as possible for him at my own detriment which he refused. Further information: - He has attempted to accuse me of damaging the vehicle myself, although has admitted to not checking the vehicle himself before the sale; - Additionally the cracks have been powder coated to conceal the - damages. - The botched NSF alloy has been repaired twice and the works are evidently historical, additionally powder coated to conceal the repair attempt. - During the buying process, the salesman told me that he owns the alloy repair company that trades next door to their unit. Upon further investigation, I found out that he is the sole director and shareholder of both businesses - The Alloy Guys LTD and Touchdown Motors Ltd. After having the wheels inspected, an employee at Kwik-Fit suspected that he had the alloys powder coated and poorly welded at his own company in order to conceal the damage and sell the vehicle through Touchdown Motors Ltd. - During the dealerships ownership of the car, he has clocked almost 3,000 miles. He has made excessive use of the vehicle. - The dealer also told me that he had to replace the OSF tyre as one of his boys damaged it while driving. - The MOT passed on 20/04/2023 with no advisories yet the vehicle had a leaky alloy repair and 2 cracked alloys one of them also dented. The MOT garage Windsor Road Garage, Bedford is round the corner from him and I believe they work in tandem to get these non fit for purpose cars on the road. Their license should be stripped from them. - The dealer knew about the damage but has also stated on text that he was not aware of the damage and did not check the car. This is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of integrity and honesty. - The dealer sold the car to someone else when I had already purchased it, making unwinding the deal impossible as a mark had already gone down on my credit record. I was boxed into the deal and the dealership raised the invoice price by £3,000, before reducing it to £2,000 and calling it a "gesture of good will". - In the end, even when I offered to share the price of the alloys, he still refused. All the evidence is attached and you can see the condition the vehicle was SOLD in, the repaired rim leaking and the powder coated alloys to conceal the damage. All in all, he raised the price of the car by £2,000, I paid £1,200 for new alloys and a £3,500 deposit. That's £6,700 in total. Avoid this dealer at all costs, or at the very lest, have the vehicle independently checked before purchasing. I was extremely disappointed with the dealership's lack of customer service and unethical business practices. Selling a car with known faults and attempting to conceal the damage is unacceptable, and their refusal to take responsibility for it was even worse.
Great experience at Touchdown Motors when purchasing a Golf GTI from Maz in January. After travelling from Manchester to collect the car, i noticed a small blemish on one of the alloy wheels as I checked the car over, I pointed out the issue to Maz and he had the alloy lads sort it there and then before leaving with the vehicle. Everything was as described and the vehicle runs and drives mint! If you're looking to get yourself a new car and see one you like at touchdown motors. Don't hesitate to go and see Maz and get it purchased, you won't be disappointed!
10/10 service at touchdown, Maz, Sam and Ryan were all extremely helpful and professional. Picked up my m135i from these guys today and I’m extremely pleased with the car. Car in great condition and these guys went above and beyond to fix some minor scratches and tiny crack on the rear bumper. Extremely professional and can’t fault my experience here. Would definitely buy from these guys again.
My husband and I were looking to replace our leased vehicles and had been looking for ages when we found Touchdown. We travelled a fair distance and was not disappointed. All the cars are high quality and kept under cover. Maz gave us a great deal on two cars and arranged for safe delivery on one so that we wouldn't have to travel back again. The whole transaction went smoothly. Would definately recommend and will be out first port of call when looking to replace our cars in the future. Thank you Maz for a great experience.
I’ve just collected my BMW M240i from Touchdown Motors and I love it! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for tastefully modified. It was a long journey to collect it but it was in exceptional condition just like the advert said. Maz is a top man and has an in depth knowledge of performance cars. I felt really comfortable buying from him. I can’t rate this dealer highly enough, if you are in the market for sports car definitely check these guys out. You won’t be disappointed!
I purchased a 2019 VW Golf R from these guys just over two weeks ago now. They were excellent through out the purchase process and do business like gentlemen. Within 10 days of purchase the brake pad warning light flashed on; given so soon after the purchase I contacted got back in touch. Recognising they had put miles on the vehicle themselves they were more than reasonable to resolve this issue agreeing to cover the cost of the parts for this. Absolutely perfect service from beginning to end and beyond I would recommend these guys to anyone and will definitely be back in touch when It comes to buying my next vehicle in the future. A special mention to Sam, was always contactable and great to deal with.

I bought an Audi S3 from Maz. I spoke to him a couple of times on the phone, before travelling 140 miles to Bedford to have a look. Maz said the photos of the car didn't do it justice, and he was right - a really beautiful, well-kept car, that drives perfectly. Maz had prepared all the paperwork prior to our arrival, the car had been fully valeted and was ready for collection. Following an inspection of the car and a test drive, it was a very quick and easy purchase, from a very friendly, helpful bloke. I have no hesitation in recommending Maz and Touchdown Motors if you're looking for something that little bit special.
Recently purchased a BMW m235i from Touchdown Motors LTD, the service from Maz and his son was excellent, I was handed the keys to have a good look round the vehicle and went straight out for a test drive. We bought a Range Rover Evoque from Touchdown a month ago. I have held off leaving a review in case there was anything wrong with the car - there isn't, we absolutely love it! We were allowed to look around it, and take it for a test drive without any interference or pressure selling. When we got back it was a painless transaction to buy it and take it home that day. When we were in the car homewe said we would definitely use them again.
