A word of caution about letting an Autoglass Engineer drive your car for a 'camera calibration'. The calibration drive resulted in the Engineer spinning the vehicle off of a dual carriageway, and crashing it through road signage and into a fence. The photo's of the crash suggest the driver was speeding when he lost control of my vehicle. At first my insurance were wrongly pursued by the Highways Agency for damages. Vehicle repairs took 3 months, followed by another two months to get the last few bits sorted. Autoglass' insurance paid the garage over £10,000 to fix the damage. However, Autoglass never compensated me for the inconvenience and never apologized. I still have a 'notification' against my name on the insurance database, which does effect my premium. The engineer who crashed my car wasn't disciplined in anyway, their investigation summarised the incident with the following statement 'he didn't know why the car lost control'. Worried the car was faulty I asked BMW to investigate. The diagnostics carried out by BMW found no fault with the car, the cause of the car leaving the road/was assumed to be excessive speed and the loss of driver control. I think it is fair to say they have lost a customer for life.
When I arrived I was 10 mins early. I was asked to wait. I would of minded but it was outside and raining. Then dead on the hour 8 an engineer came out and check over the car and said that would be 3 hours I had to ask for the waiting room. I requested new wipers that didn’t arrive. After an hour someone said that it was ready , it wasn’t it was the wrong customer. Back out in the rain! No apology just wait. Disappointed with the overall lack of customer service and interest. At the finish I was told that the wipers will be refunded. But again no apology. Disappointed a agin and again !
This is a review of the windscreen replacement centre adjacent to the head office. The guys are very polite, on time and professional. They can handle windscreens with integrated cameras and electronics, I had been a bit worried about it, but there were no issues. You get a guarantee on the works, so in the unlikely event something leaks or is incorrect, they'd fix it. A more complex job can take about 3-3.5h but you can stay in the headquaters waiting area, there's water, coffee, toilets, 2 couches and even tables with sockets to connect your laptop and work. Let's see how my new windscreen performs in cold and rain, but so far everything looking good
Disgusting company who clearly are incompetent, certainly great at not listening to the customer, also fantastic at leaving a customers vehicle leaking badly due to fitting the front windscreen incorrectly! Don't use them find a local service would and could do better.
Autoglass advertise their service all the time. They have an exclusive deal with Admiral Car Insurance and perhaps others. But try book a windscreen repair replacement and you get told it will take 2 weeks to get an appointment! Really? When the damage is in the line of sight and if I'm correct this makes the car illegal to drive on the road. Are they over stretched? Should they be advertising for work they can't do in a timely manner. Other companies can replace in a few days. But if I use one of them Admiral reimburse just £50. Poor service from both companies who should do better. Perhaps if they spent less on advertising and more on staff they would be able to provide the service they claim in their advertising. Misleading advertising I think!
Seems basic and no soundproofing so can hear customers in the reception area if working in call centre. Only free vendor machine is a hot drinks one, if they had a candy machine or something as waiting times are long
Very good service. Nice warm place to sit and wait. Hot drinks available and toilet facilities. Suggest taking something to eat if over lunchtime. Places to walk nearby.
Booked On Line an appointment, and paid for it £25.00 via my Insurance company Admiral, who where excellent for my daughters car, the arranged location. This was on a Wednesday, she was travelling some 300 miles on the Friday. So, a repair of a 'chip' at her place of work was ideal. We were told they would arrive 10-17.00 Booking and payment was straight forward. Day of the repair, NOTHING no one turned up, AND NO courtesy call that for what ever reason they did not turn up. My daughter called them, at 16.30 only to be told, The date booked actually was not available the system should not have allowed you to book it.??!!!! WHAT!!??? NO apology, more importantly HOW CAN WE RESOLVE OURE MISTAKE??? The only option was my daughter had to drive miles the next day to a fixed site for the repair to take place. I have tried to call and discuss my daughters disgraceful treatment, lost my call twice, the third, spoke to someone, and transferred, and yes another dropped call!!!!!! I emailed Customer Service, and they left a message to call them on a dedicated number now tried FOUR times each time to say " No one in Customer Service is available to take my call, the Mail Box is full, so I could not leave a messageCall Back Later" !!! Honestly what a shambles. I am looking forward to speak to someone, when ever that may be.
