I really like the “TkMaxx” store and have visited more than 10 different stores in London. the Brixton store is the one I visit most as I pass by it every day. There is always a variety of products but you need to invest time to look for them. There is a daily change of products, but some items also remain there for days. I recommend it if you need good clothes and a great price. Just pay attention to the time, as Sunday does not correspond to what the store shows on Google.
Excellent Customer Service by Safna!nI had a great experience at the jewellery section in TK Maxx Brixton. Safna was incredibly helpful and attentive, guiding me in selecting some beautiful jewellery pieces. Her friendly attitude and expert advice made the shopping experience even more enjoyable. I’d definitely love to shop here again!
A staff member today working on the 10/05/2025 around 1hour or so before closing time, she was working in women’s lingerie section & opposite the kids toys. She was extremely passive aggressive and made me feel so uncomfortable whilst browsing through the toys with my daughter. She heard a toy fall on the floor and immediately assumed it was me and my child when it was another customer standing close to us on the same aisle. This staff member then proceeded to watch over us every now and again as if we were doing something wrong and also approached me to ask me if I needed any help, but in a very sarcastic and insinuating manner. Her attitude was notnpleasant either.nnI’ve been a regular customer at this store and this is also my local, this is the first time i’ve had to encounter such an experience from a staff member, might I add the toy section was in quite a mess anyways before we had arrived and we simply were browsing and looking at the toys and carefully putting them back . I’m not one to leave negative reviews but I’m really put off by such behaviour from this female staff member, she was wearing a black skirt and had a dark brown/black hair with a plait in it hair from what I remember. It’s not the way to treat customers nor is it a way to act with anyone in general.
They have great merchant and each section is clearly labelled for customers to easily find whatever they're looking for. The discounts are phenomenal and great quality for a decent price. Also, every floor is accessible for wheelchair and buggy users. Although under staffed, the staff are super friendly and hard workers, super efficient.
First time visiting this store as I don't usually go South London let alone Brixton.nnI enjoyed browsing around the store and there is a lot of stock, especially in the skincare section.nnI was also fortunate enough to not have to queue for long. Bought some good stuff too.nnBut when we were queuing the second time around, it was dramatically longer, winding all around the store.nnDisappointed when I asked the staff if he knew where Electric Avenue was, he didn't seem to know, it was actually across the road!nnWhilst in the queue, picked up a tasty Chinese snack...nnOverall a pleasant experience, would visit again.
