Came to this restaurant for a birthday meal, on a recommendation from a work friend. In a lovely village location. The restaurant was very busy and seems very popular. It would be nice to have a little more space between you and your fellow diners. The staff were very friendly, and mine, my husband and my one sons meal choices were really tasty and well cooked, and very enjoyable. Unfortunately my youngest sons meal choices were not as good, his soup had split and he had been hoping for a nice piece of crackling on his pork, but it was more chewy and gelatinous. Overall though a pleasant experience and would go again, probably not on a Sunday when I am guessing lots of people are looking for a good place to have their Sunday roast dinner.
Wow!!! Okay, it’s a pub! Or is it??? Having eaten there at least four times in the last few months, I can contest this is an absolute winner!!! The staff is delightful, efficient, great atmosphere but the food ….. the best pork belly ever!!!! I have stopped ordering pork belly anywhere as it is never as good as The Three Tuns! Kudos to the chef! Whoever you are, you know how to cook! Always consistent, hit, beautifully presented, bursting with flavour, decent portions and oh that gravy!!! It is simply delicious!
Wow first time we have been here and we were blown away. Definitely be returning food was amazing staff also very friendly and attentive even tho the pub was very very busy. 5 stars from us . Dan's bacon roly poly roast lamb and coconut arrancini

This place was highly recommended for food so we had high expectations. The menu was a approaching high-end , but the food itself was well done. The location is a little outside of Christchurch so you may stuggle with a taxi home as we did. The pub is pictureque and cosy winter time. This is a beer drinker's pub with a wide selection of ales - I didn't try any as managed to only drink wine my error which was sensibly priced. The atmosphere is more suited to a quiet romantic or family dinner - the vibe isn't quite right for a younger or party crowd. I do recommend and will look-forward to returning perhaps in the summer.
Had an amazing lunch with exceptional service from Katy and the team. Executive chef Colin excels with imaginative menus and out of this world dishes. I definitely recommend the pork belly main and the vegan friendly pannacotta dessert with gorse berries. The homemade bread is stunning
Really good menu, food and service. A wonderful night was had. It is not often that I have the opportunity to lay praise on a restaurant/pub which is a real shame for consumers. But the Three Tuns is a shining example of how to do it right. Thank you
Great atmosphere, attentive staff who remembered my name, despite how busy it was, a first, and made a real difference. And best of all, delicious food, served on massive plates, which made it look like one of those fancy restaurants that feed you next to nothing, for loads of cash, when in fact they give you loads of food, for little cash! A clever trick! Loved it. We'll be back. Oh, if you do go, and you should, I'd recommend booking. It can be busy. Photos of steak and kidney pie, slow cooked pork and a shared panacotta. There's be one of our liver parfait with quince starter as well, but it was so delicious we just ate it.
I LOVED it here. Super welcoming. Amazing vibes. Fantastic food that was exciting and cooked perfectly It is very dog friendly. I will definitely be back.
Visited on holiday. Welcoming staff. Clean surroundings. Lovely menu ,food excellent and good value. Waitress happy to make adjustment with my choice of meal which was greatly appreciated. Wanted a pudding but too full from main however those I saw being brought to the party next to me looked delightful. Definitely an enjoyable experience but highly recommend.
