If you want a cheap reasonable meal from the limited menu then I give it 4 stars. Service was good. Place seemed full so they couldn't have been doing much wrong. Menu also included a dessert at £2-50, great value. My only complaint was I've eaten here twice recently, first time fish was very good ,second time tasted like it had been reheated.
The lady that served our table was excellent and sorted everything out nicely, and the food tasted good. Only 4 stars as they got half of the meals wrong even tho we'd ordered in advance! It would be if they brought the meal out and said 'this is for Dan' etc they have that information... Just a nice thought
We had a deal of two courses for £10 and that's great value. The good was decent although pudding a big disappointing. Mixed Grill was great. The same issue here as always that it's slow. The waiting staff are friendly but the kitchen seems to struggle.Food: 4/5
We had a Wake here on Monday. The staff were absolutely fantastic, Jorge has got a wonderful team! The buffet food had a large selection and was all really tasty. They even accommodated my fussy daughter by cooking her a different meal. They went above and beyond! The staff were all compassionate and vert attentive!
1 = poor 10 = excellent Welcome 6 Atmosphere 8 Cleanliness 7 Speed of serve 6 Attentiveness 3 Food quality 6 Accuracy of order 4 Value for money 7 Drinks 8 One place I have never got around to trying. So we booked a table. The welcome was friendly, but being addressed by my Cristian name and being touched by the staff on a few occasions, is way too much! We both had smothered platter, it was very nice, steak cooked as requested. After looking at the plate there was not the coleslaw, as stated on the menu. Just no mentioning when ordering of the fact they don’t have any coleslaw, is very poor service. Also; coleslaw is a side on at least 5 other dishes and an optional extra. We were told they are not allowed to make their own; which was my realisation; to nothing is freshly made. After the nice main, dessert was less so, s’mores; the marshmallows had no attempt at being melted. Came with caramel and chocolate sauce, no mention to caramel on menu. And a profiterole sundae with no profiteroles. I also don’t like being asked a closed questions, “is the food ok, yes?” whether the food was ok; I do not know, when I’ve only have one mouthful. The cost was the nicest thing, very reasonable. Nothing here to make me try this place again.
Meal at lunchtime. Chose from the lunchtime deal which was good value for the two of us. Service was quite quick which was much better than previous experiences at this venue. Only criticism would be that they seemed to be seating diners in one area at a time which meant being noisy and too close together.Food: 4/5
I came with four friends last night for a catch-up - the food was very good and we had a very friendly waitress! Would like to book for my husband’s birthday on the 6th February and would certainly recommend it to other friends. Took my mum and Dad there tonight 27th December dad had pre ordered but no one knew about it, so we didn't get the festive menu but we did have a lovely meal anyway, the restaurant manager couldn't do enough for us and was lovely my mum has terminal cancer so it was nice to get her out for once before the inevitable she couldn't do enough for my mum, only down point was a very rude bar staff member who when asked by myself why our drinks weren't served and I had to come to the bar he just pulled a face and said so what and walked away, very rude and if he doesn't want to serve customers he's in the wrong job, I'm a lot placid these days but as he nearly upset my mum, he came very close to me being like my old self I don't think he knows how lucky he was. New restaurant manager and general manager have big problems with that kind of attitude from staff to customers I'd suggest a clean out of staff and employ people who want to do the job, 20 years in catering and in the old days the bar man would have been sacked on the spot or end of shift. Hope they sort it as food and everything else was fine.
Went for a Mother's Day set 3 course menu. 2 hours 40 minutes after going in, we left after only receiving our starter and main. Gave up waiting for the desert. The waitress kept forgetting to put things through, and kept having to go back to tables asking to be reminded what people had ordered. I have never heard so many complaints about the length of wait or missing orders. Not a good Mother's Day experience. It was also our wedding anniversary, so a double whammy. Parking: You need to register your car number plate on entry to the restaurant.
